I was wondering for the following rackets if anyone has done a two piece string job on them even though its normally one? Is there a certain normal way to do a two piece job on a racket thats normally one?

Wilson Kfactor K95 X ( The extended length racket)

Babolat Pure storm gt 2009 rackets the tour and non tour.

Thanks

Sure. Any frame can be strung 2 piece.
What exactly do you need to know?

K six one 95X?
Length: M-18' X-16'
skip: 7T-9T, 7H-9H
tie-off: M 8T-X 5H, 11T

Pure Storm GT
Length: M-20' X-19'
skip: 8T-8H
tie-off: M-6H X-7T,11H

PS Tour GT
same as PD GT

As far as I know, any racquet can be strung 2 piece. Just cut your string to the right length and have at it. It doesn't matter where your mains end because you'll just take the second piece of string and start at the head anyways.

Some racquets don't have enough tie-off holes for two piece so you need to widen out an extra grommet or two to make space to tie off.

Pure storm's I thought were one piece unless you strung bottom-to-top crosses or widened out some grommets (at least they were when I had a pair).

I used to string PS's 2 piece for a HS kid and the tie-off for the X's was another X.
This is when I started using a starting clamp for to start X's as the anchor string was....the 4th X' or something like that.

Babolat reccomends all their rackets be strung two piece even though one piece is ok. 11T is the tie off for the crosses

Hmm....In stringers digest, there are only 7 Bab frames out of 100+ that don't show a 2 piece instruction.
The manufacturers "recommendations" is indicated by NOT displaying an instruction, whether it be 1 or 2 piece. (if that makes sense)
My thought is, the pic in the link you displayed shows 2 colors to distinguish between M's & X's.
A lot of Bab frames, just like a lot of Wilson, give instruction to string X's bottom up.
I personally, don't string X's from the throat even if the manufacturer "recommends" it.
I would say to the OP, if the manufacturer "recommends" start X's at the throat, do it if you can let yourself.

Yes many of the Babolat patterns are confusing. Here is one (APD) where you have an option of stringing 1 or 2 piece.

http://www.babolat.com/media/tennis/stringing_pattern/Aeropro_Drive.pdf

On the other hand the PS is 2 piece only there is no 1 piece option.

Hello Irvin,
Looking at the PS link that you ref. I see a 1 piece option. The solid circles are indicating where to tie off one piece. The broken line circles indicate the other 2 tie offs when doing a 2 piece (4 knot) stringing. Notice the solid line transition from blue to red starting at the head for one piece. Just my take on Babolat's prints.

I've found contradictions in the past with manufacturers instructions / USRSA stringers Digest / and printed info on a frame.
For me.....USRSA stringers digest trumps everything

Exactly, however in this case the way I see Irvin's PS ref. print from Babolat - it is the same as the Stringers Digest instructions. 1 pc. or 2pc.

I guess I was referencing the "Babolat reccomends all their rackets be strung two piece" comment

You are correct.

Seems like the stringing patterns that are linked are not functional anymore. returns a 404 error. I guess babolat dont have the pdf's on display for the public anymore.

Hi.
What does H and T stand for?
I understand that M is mains and X is cross... but I fail to get what H and T is. Is H the top (head up) and the T (throat Down) the bottom? counting from middle out?
On the Pure Storm GT I have (2011) there is also a bigger hole on the hole number 8 counting from down middle out. Would it then be mensioned as 8T?
Please advice.

Regarding the Pure Storm GT.
I start the cross with a starting clamp at hole 8th on top and then tie it later to the 11th hole on top?

G.O.A.T.
H/T stands for Hoop/Throat. Mains are counted starting at center. Crosses are counted starting at top of frame.

If you see T/B, T=top of frame and B=Throat or bottom of hoop.
