Goals and their posts, have evolved and changed over the years, as seen in hockey, football, and NFL....

So why not tennis? :sneaky:

Unless you have 7+ slams on an au naturale surface like clay or grass, you cannot be GOAT.

who cares about cement.

A lot of fan bases are probably regretting some of the claims they made in the past. fed fans used to talk about how number of slams was the key metric together with time at #1. Nadal fans used to highlight the h2h results. what metric do Novak fans promote that they will eventually regret?

An honest hypocrite is not an oxymoron - it's OP.
Dont pretend you dont know about goal posts. Djokers farm animal arguments have changed quite a bit over the last few years. Weak era shots dont feel as good anymore do they? ;)

Plus, I rather be in the goal post moving department than the imaginary hypothetical department.

Just join @TMF and praise Federer's bank account.

Disagreed - imaginery hypothetical peak Federer threads and goal post moving threads are equally trashy,

Did Djoker already hypothetically win FO too? Or do we need to wait till after to say it?
Well another regular Djokovic fan who has appeared again this year actually did say that the damp clay at RG affected Djokovic as he could not hit through the clay. So hypohetically the inference appears to be had it been hot and dry he would have won. Funny that as the narrative was different going into the event.

I know reading comprehension is not your thing, but the part where I said "or do we need to wait till after the FO" is clear evidence I was talking about the upcoming one. Will send you some YouTube links on comprehension.
Djokovic did win FO already (in 2016) so your question did not even make sense. He does not need hypothetical win at all. How about you checking a doctor to see if you are even fit to post here?

Novak fans always were talking about wider picture... Not only slams, not only weeks and year ends, not only number of WTF titles, masters... Overall achievement... Well, Novak will brake all of this and many more, so goat talking is all for nothing... We all wasted time guys...

@Doctor/Lawyer Red Devil said while I might have issues, I am still able to post... legally that is.

However, for you, I am sure you set up a hypothetical meeting with the doctor and got a hypothetical doctor analysis that said you were fine.

The smart ones did and do. But most did not.

I really don't remember Novak fan who claimed "slams are all that matters". Even if there is few they are so rare... On the other hand loads of Fed fan were all about slams, this days they are mostly about overall achievement (Nadal catches Fed in slams and has holes here and there), and more and more about earned money and popularity, lol, while Nadal fans who were all about h2h silenced when Novak overcomed Nadal, and now are all about only slams... When/if Novak surpasses him it will be slam h2h, off course...

As you see, only Novak's fans are the same, haven't moved the goal post... Overall achievement, it is...

So we agree hypotheticals are trash - no debate here. Djokovic did win RG in 2016 - no debate here as well.

So your initial question is moot.

Well folks, bippity bumpetty. There is broad agreement in the leadership group of the Society for the Preservation of the One Handed Backhand that as we are now only waiting on the last horseman to arrive for the apocalypse, now is the time, literally in Rolex’ case, that we revisit this in a more formal, structured setting. As such, we’re opening the initial stakeholder consultation phase today.

The Executive Committee, also known as the Committee for the Preservation of the Primacy of the One Handed Backhand on the GOAT-tier, has some interesting ideas. These will be reserved for the draft goalpoast relocation report to be prepared, including stakeholder feedback.
