Can I CAP a Classic MP?

Are there any CAPs grommets that fit the Head Classic MP(102")? Thanks. The racquet needs a change in grommets and it is a little light for me, so I wanted to CAP it.
Thanks.

Finally got around to attempting FXP Prestige Team CAPs on one of my Satellites. It was easy. The holes matched up nicely. I put them on with my fingers in 15 minutes. I used a paper punch(instead of an awl) to line up each grommet in the hole before applying pressure. I went slow to not damage the thin plastic where the individual grommets meet the CAP.
I weighed my stock grommets v. FXP Prestige Team. The difference was 13 grams or 0.45 oz.
A leather grip will get the balance closer to the 10.5 pts HL stock spec. May have handle re-molded to Wilson or Prince shape. Its too bad that nobody makes after-market pallets that we could install at home so each player could use the handle shape for their grip preference.
I grew up with 4 3/4 Prince leather grip with Eastern forehand and Cont. everything else. It would be great if all the manufacturers would use interchangable pallets.

I have a Satellite Tour, too... I may try this with. Can you post some pics?

Swings a little heavy and feels a bit more solid on the hoop. I'm taking it to a extensive test session today. The last one was like 15 minutes with the wall.

Sorry, were you talking about the Satellite ?

Satellite with CAPS is more head-heavy than stock. It does give you more mass to drive through the shot. Serves had more weight. Groundstokes had bigger topspin. It muted the sound the frame makes on contact. Felt more solid allround, but the extra weight made it slower to get to my normal contact points.
I have four frames. I put it on the heaviest which was already more head-heavy than the rest. Plus I added the same 13 extra grams to the handle as well. Going to weigh total weight Monday.
I could adjust, but I'm not sure if I want to.
My biggest gripe is the Head handle shape. If I get the handles re-molded I'll have to pay to get the balance back to stock(double the cost). I like the stock balance at the net over the Prestige Classic(Trysis 300). This was a trial on my oddball frame. I'm not changing the other 3 yet.

Just sent my trial frame to **** for handle remolding. going for the 4 7/8 Wilson shape. Leather grip.

Weighed Satellite today.
With CAPS and lead under grip-13.04 oz.
CAPS and grip(no lead)-12.42 oz.
Original weight(heavy oddball)-12.2 oz.
Stock weight of other 3 frames-11.80,11.83,and 11.89 oz.
Pretty good since I bought them one at a time over year and a half.

No racquet I've played makes as satifying a Thwack as the Prestige when you nail the sweetspot. I wish more racquet companies would make available different grommet sets for customizing.
I think Prince has a good opportunity with the speedports. Why just color options? Why not weight choices?
Thanks to the other posters for the CAPS info. I should get my Satellite back from Roman Prokes this week. CAPS and a Wilson shape leather grip with stock balance. I have high hopes for this set-up.

I don't have a camera right now but these were taken a few days ago and are from weird angles.

Got my Satellite back from **** last week, and after a couple of hits I believe that I can handle the extra weight.
It now weighs 13.25 oz. This frame started at 12.25 oz. The Wilson shaped handle with leather grip at 4 3/4 with the 3/4 Wilson butt-cap is perfect.
The Satellite is pancaking the ball like the Trysis 300(Prestige Classic) used to do. A full deeper thwack.
Played 3 sets of Dbls today. Kick serves were heavy. Flat serves a nice surprise. Forehand had more drive. Backhand slice approach was almost unreturnable. Net play coming around. Return of serve still slow. But overall I'm pleased.
I'm looking for stock grommets/bumpers, but all I've found is these FXP Team 102 CAPs. May have to buy more CAPs.
And I'm definitely saving up to get remaining 3 frames handles remolded. Cost is $105 each, plus $22 ea.for leather.

There might be another option for you guys that like 660cm2 (102 sq in) headsize head racquets with 18x19 string pattern.
The MG Prestige Team
HEADMicroGelPrestigeTeam.jpg

It is available now in Europe.

wait, don't mean to interupt the thread, but what does CAPing a stick mean?

i seriously don't know what that means.

CAP grommets are full length bumper guards that wrap around 3/4 of the racquet head.
It comes standard on the Head Prestige.
Players often add them to other models to add mass without using lead tape.
It also adds a cool custom look.
