Can I wear 2016 Barricades?

Been wanting to buy a pair of the 2016 Hannibal Barricades (I'm a huge Roman Empire fan), but previous versions have been to narrow. I'm curious if anyone can give me some insight on the 2016 Barricade fit based on my shoe history.

- Nike Breathe Free Cage
- Nike Court Ballistec 1.3 and 2.3
- Asics Gel Resolution 1-3
- Head Sprint Pro
- Wilson Tour 2's
- Reebok Match Day Pumps

The Nike Court Ballistec's probably fit me the best of the bunch. Thanks in advance.

I'd say no, but I'm biased, just because I find that I can wear any shoes except for the barricades. I've used all of the Nike shoes that you've mentioned, in addition to all of the vapors, the Gel Solution 2 and the Gel Solution 3, and the common denominator with them (yes, including even the Ballistecs) are that they have more flexibility and cushioning in the upper. The barricade is very stiff like a boot, and while many people swear by it, I can't use them without feeling insecure and like they are rigid.

I appreciate your response. The answer to my question is more than likely no, but based on the review it sounded like these Barricades fit Jason (who has flat wide feet) better than previous versions. So I figured there's a chance maybe. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a store with my size to try them before I order a pair.

I never got the 2016 boost versions, so I can't speak to that, but the most recent pair that I tried were the 2016 Barricades (White/silver) and they were still just as limiting for me as the previous versions. That could change though with the 2017 version though. They look to be much more flexible. Let's see.

I have a slightly wider foot. Have worn some wider shoes before going back to trying Adidas. Breathe 2k10's and the cc feather 2's being my last 2 shoes. I went half a size up for my Alexander Barricades. They're really snug at first. It's not that they necessarily feel snug or tight, but just putting the shoes on the first few times was a chore. Eventually the material loosened up and I don't have to fight when putting them on. The fit is pretty good for me. Had some slight issues with my heel rubbing against the back of the shoe, but I haven't noticed it in a long time. Thicker sock when playing helped alleviate that problem.

Hopefully this helps somewhat.
