Can MSV Focus Hex even be classified as a poly? Lol

A lot of people here seem to like it and it's only about $8/set. For that price, I think I'm going to try it out.

Have you ever tried Polystar Energy? I've hit with MSV Focus Hex, but I don't think it's even in the same vicinity compared to Polystar Energy with respect to softness.

I would put the softness of shaped strings as: 1. Dunlop Black Widow, 2. Babolat RPM, 3. MSV Focus Hex. They are all soft, but MSV is best at combining durability, tension retention, and price. I find with MSV that it needs 30-60 minutes break in time and then it softens up real well.

I just got a racket that came with Head Ultra Tour 17 on it for free. Just like I read other people report, it's a little stiff for an hour or two, and then softens up a ton. I'm playing with the Ultra Tour on one frame, and Pro Hurricane Tour on the other and the difference is enormous. I feel like it's as soft or softer than the full syn-gut I've played with in the past. Definitely, some of the newer poly's coming out are pretty soft. I just wonder how they will feel when they go dead.

I haven't, if I get a chance I'll try it out, but yea, MSV Focus Hex is the best performance the its price imo, you have to string it higher than other polys though.

I string it 1 lb tighter than I would Black Code (62). I string it the same as Dunlop Black Widow (63) and 1 lb less than RPM (64).

Kirschbaum PLII and WeissCannon TurboTwist both felt softer to me than MSV Focus Hex. it's a great string though, especially for the crosses.

MSV Hex doesn't feel any softer than most copoly's. Not sure what the OP is really talking about.

Has anyone tried Focus Hex on a cross with Gut mains?
If so, how did it play and how was the durability of the gut mains with the sharp edges of the Focus Hex?

Agree.
I really prefer it after the breakin. Plays great and has hits more quiet and soft. MSV is really a copoly and its the string that weened me off natural gut :)
