Can Nadal win 6 US Open titles?

I can envision a scenario in which this is likely to happen.

In that scenario, I'd have Nadal skipping 2020 Wimbledon.

Then a meteor strikes London, obliterating all other top players, British royalty, Mohamed Lahyani, and poor @vive_le_beau_jeu! who was there enjoying the de-Nadalised event.

Honestly....it's kinda possible. Just not likely. Nadal is becoming a more dominant hardcourt player. And his hardcourt game works best on the US Open courts. He's really the best US Open player of the decade.

I think Nadal probably has a great shot at winning 5. But he's not getting any younger, and these NextGen are hungry and getting better, so 6 may be a step too far.

Considering I remember the time when I was here and we all thought after the Delpo loss "Nadal will never win the US Open" (and I agreed).......... who cares? Lol yall want too much. 2 out of his 4 titles are against Djokovic, Nadal could retire tomorrow and im good :D

Why retire when you're so close to being the Open Era GOAT of the US Open! :)

Lol, no. Even winning a 5th USO might be too hard, though it would be amazing to equal the all time record. But 6? Nah, that's just too much.

Of course Rafa can win 6 US Opens, or 7 etc.
There is no limit to how many Rafa can win.
Because he's the first of his kind :)

If I were a Nadal fan I'd rather see him win 2 more wimbledons than 2 more USOs. 4 titles on all surfaces is unreal.
He is much better of late on Arthur Ashe than on Centre Court of Wimbledon. His chances of adding 2 more US Opens are higher than adding 1 more Wimbledon imo.

No. He'll likely win one of the next two, but to win them both or one three or more years from now is asking A LOT.

Next to impossible.Nadal won't win it next year since the only slam he has been able to defend in his career was the FO.

Doubtful, maybe 1 more.
Nadal will keep getting older.
Someone from NextGen will eventually break through.
Djokovic is still probably the fav over Nadal.

If nadal can take 6 here it will be a big factor in slam record as he will be leader at 2 of the 4 slams in the big 3 which I think federer held for quite a long time even at 3 of the 4.

Nadal can't defend a tournament off clay and boom he breaks that fact to defend at canada now another statement to blow off- defending a non-Rg slam.

I can see him winning five. Six very unrealistic but also not impossible. The next gen still sucks, Federer will be 39 next year and Djokovic gets odd losses here and there. Nadal is clearly the most consistent against the young players out of the big three so if he gets draws without facing Fed or Djokovic he has huge chances. Even against Federer I would see him as slight favorite at the US Open at this point. It wouldn’t feel right though, if Nadal overtakes Sampras as most successful US Open player. Then again it also does not feel right that Djokovic surpassed McEnroe at Wimbledon and is on one level with Borg (success-wise).

He can if the situation continues to be the same and I hope he does, so that everyone of importance in tennis is left standing there wondering like a m**** that he is "how did we ruin the sport in such a spectacular fashion".

If God exists he should stop this insanity right now. 4 USO for Nadal is a joke, anything more would be beyond that joke.

Sounds like Nadal's typical late round opponent so yeah very possible
Let's hope this happens after Matteo beats Federer in straight sets in the Quarter final and Thiem in 4 sets in the semi final.

It will be great for all tennis fans. Federer at 39 making US Open quarter final will be ridiculous.

Ryan Harrison, Roberto Carballes Baena, Krajinovic, Gasquet, Monfils, Anderson and final with Berretini.

The dream becomes a reality always at USO
