Can Kyrgios win Wimbledon? If he reaches the final, it will likely be against his pigeon, Djokovic (2-0).

So really he just needs to make the final, and he has it in the bag

The hype here on TTW is just crazy. Kyrgios isn't going to reach the final - and if he indeed faces off against Novak there, it's Novak who has the significant edge, not him. Not saying it's going to be a cakewalk for Novak, but trying to extrapolate that 2-0 h2h to imply that Kyrgios has the edge, for a Slam final in Bo5, is really trolling/wishful thinking on the part of most who do this.

But, as I said, it is just a theoretical exercise. Kyrgios isn't going to make the final.

Ive been writing Nick off for months. He's already far surpassed what I thought he was capable of after such a long layoff. I'm very happy to have been wrong about him, and am interested to see how far he can take things.

will either happen? Nope. But one can dream. Until then, it’s Nick vs Felix and we’ll see about probably a Zedraffe Acapulco’19 final rematch for 4R. Get over that and it’s a revenge match for Stuttgart’19 1R that had a Berry good ending for the Italian. SF vs the aforementioned Underhanded Kazakh or the quirky Mad Russian or a Swiss Maestro. He would be like Lloyd in Dumb And Dumber. A final vs Joe Kovic after that gauntlet might be anticlimactic with a whole lot of fireworks. Can he pull it off? I vote no but I hope yes for selfish reasons. I am being entertained by all the blinding hate and bile being spit out here!

The thing with Kyrgios is that on a given day he can beat anyone. But he can't normally back up a good performance with a good run over 2 weeks to make a good result at a slam, so no.
