At 19 seems to have a good H2Hs over everyone aged same or older

Rune vs Tsitsipas 2-0
Rune vs Zverev 1-0
Rune vs Djokovic 1-1 :rolleyes:

Rune vs Alcaraz 1-1
Rune vs Shapovalov 1-0
Rune vs De Minaur 2-0
Rune vs Rublev 1-0
Rune vs Hurkacz 1-0

He is yet to play Nadal and Medvedev but at this point if they face him then he will obliterate them both.

Among the significant players older to him it seems only Casper Ruud 4-0 and Noorie 3-1 have some edge over him but that too will be short lived.

I hope he postpones it for another year.

The last year has been very pivotal for the GOAT race, a lot of ground needs to be covered by Novak, the hamstring has come at a very wrong time coinciding the next gen ATG arriving....

The stars seem to have aligned for Nadal, in last 2.5 years Djokovic has lost USO20, W20 cancelled, goofed up USO21, got banned from AO22, USO 22 and now some Hamstring nonsense.

Looks like the universe is trying hard to stop Djokovic.

The universe is only balancing out all of Nadal's missed slams and injuries :D

Nadal was never that injured, most of them he missed because he wanted to save himself for the clay season, had he played those missed slams then it would have affected the slams he won. Nadal always chose his battles more cleverly than Djokovic or Federer.

Anyway, a fit Djokovic is still capable of beating Rune and Alcaraz even though they are 16 years younger. If he does it it then he is definitely the greatest player of all time, nobody is history has beaten top ranked players this young, even Ken Rosewall was beating some lower ranked younger players it seems, I checked his slams, nobody can go toe to toe with people this young, Novak is fighting against nature. 35 is definitely not the new 25.

Watching Rune today it was eye-opening because he played without any fear at all and expected to win. I’m not sure if Djokovic is hundred percent or not but regardless at 36 years of age we should be seeing some losses here but generation useless was so pathetic I couldn’t do it, but this guy will most likely. He and Alcaraz

I'm certain Nadal will beat Rune at Roland Garros if Rune is good enough to make it to Nadal in the draw.
People will say Nadal is injured, but Nadal missed 6 weeks with a fractured rib in 2022, and got injured at Wimbledon too, and in between that he beat FOUR top 10 players at Roland Garros.
