Can some please explain calibration

I have an old Winn Pro machine, and i think its about time to calibrate it. I don't have a tension calibrator, and I don't know which one to get. Second, I don't know to calibrate and third, on this machine, i couldn't see how, it only has a hole the size of an alen wrench on the tension head.

You can get a calibrator on TW, or any number of competitors. People have also had success with a digital fish scale, found at walmart or any other place with a good sized fishing department. If you don't know where the adjustment is, you can always set it at, say, 50 lbs. Pull tension on the calibrator and adjust to how far off the calibrator is. So if the calibrator says your actually pulling 48 lbs, you can just up the tension by 2 lbs when your setting your initial tension. The tension head won't say the actual tension, but you will know that its right.

The walmart scale only goes up to 50lbs. You might need one that handles more weight to do a more accurate calibration. but the price of the scale is not to argue with.

I went walmart and purchased afishing weight scale. I checked it against my tennis calibrator. It was not bad. It was only 1 lb off at 48 lbs. Since 1lb off is really not a big deal, only a a rare few can detect the difference in tension.
