Can we talk about tennis?

Shocker I know, talk about tennis on a tennis forum. What is the OP on about...

Seriously we're all fed up with this Djokovic story. We all know he's dodgy, bit of a crazy guy, we know that Straya failed massive in dealing with this situation, yadda yadda.

Let's move on, folks. Time to talk about tennis. The AO is here and things are getting exciting again. Lesh go!!

Yeah, lets talk tennis and upcoming AO.

Do you think Djokovic will win it?

What's to talk about? Let's all be honest here, no one in this field is going to beat Djokovic in Bo5 on these courts.

We all know that the tournaments all end the same way

At least here there seems to be drama . On a serious note , if what Djokovic is saying is the truth, I cannot fathom how he is so dumb to attend sponsor event after knowing positive result

I am:

Curious about Rafa's level in his first Slam since his return.
Curious how Carlos does after his fantastic run at the USO.
Curious if FAA and Shapo can build on Team Canada's win at the ATP Cup.
Curious whether Jannik, Hubert, or Aslan can start their season off with a bang.

Annoyed that no one seems to care about the tennis anymore.

I just wanna see my boys play. This whole other tidal wave doesn't interest me at all

There's not much to talk about, everything hinges on Novak.

No Federer, no Thiem. Nadal and Tsitsipas are both on the injury comeback trail with very low chances to win it.

It's going to come down to Medvedev and Zverev, but we can't seriously discuss their chances without knowing if Novak will be there. And unlike the other 3 slams, Australia follows the offseason which means we can't have any real discussions about who is in form or not because all we have to go by are exos and team events.

So...you honestly think if Novak plays he wins?

I think he's the heavy favorite and we can't seriously discuss the chances of the other serious contenders without knowing if he's playing or not. He's too much of a factor.

Medvedev isn't good enough yet where we can just give him the benefit of the doubt and say if he plays his best tennis he'll win regardless of who is in his path.

Medvedev is a better HC player than Djoke now. When all is said and done, Medvedev will have more USO titles than Djoke.

It's hard to talk about tennis when this current sh*tshow is obscuring the sport like a total solar eclipse.

This is a unique scenario, and people are quite rightly talking about it until it gets resolved, one way or another.

I just hope that posters on TTW won't needlessly drag it into discussion from Monday onwards.

If Novak plays, then don't whine about how "he shouldn't even be competing"; if he doesn't play, then don't whinge about how "it would have been different if he had been competing".

Novak has spent a lot of time/energy on off-court things.

In general, I would agree with you about Meddy, but by default, he becomes the favorite.
