The thing im wondering is
Do they actually believe what they are saying? In that case I would say with certainty they never saw themselves on video and are completely ignorant and oblivious to what their level actually looks like on video
When I play and hit my shots in real life it specially when I hit some good shots or good powerful serves it almost feels like im hitting as good and hard as Federer (maybe a slight exageration but still).
When I watch video of my practice it looks much different, not even close to what I thought in real life, but it looks OK, not horrible.
When I watch video of my match it looks horrible.
This girl is playing points and hitting the ball hard, serving hard, playing good, she would crush 95% of the posters here EASY with little effort, but they are just delusional beyond reason, infact they should post a video of them playing a match so we can see how they "look" playing a match, but they probably never even seen themself on video nor would they have the balls to post it even if they did.
Im not even suprized nobody that claims they would beat her has any videos on here, apart from this guy

I would add that it's easy to look good in ball feed practice but in matches, the strokes don't work quite so well so most rec players end up dialing down and the ones who get games at all often do so with high percentage moonballing. I experienced this myself in a tournament I played a week back where flat passes were finding the net so I resorted to lob passes (outright lobs will get smashed in doubles unless you manage to get them deep AND high). That girl looked great in point play and that's putting it mildly. lol @ the people attempting to pick holes in her game.

I hardly play practice sets.
Unfortunately most of my practice matches are doubles or mixed doubles and when I practice it's usually drilling or just loose points.
I wish I had someone of a close level to play sets against.

But man the talent. You did something I never saw any pro do. Your body awareness and control is such that you SHRINK when moving off the court (presumably to run faster) but return to normal giant size when in the middle of the court. Its amazing!!! J011y da man!

I played a tiebreaks yesterday vs a woman who was ranked in the top 600 in the world a couple years ago. I serve and volley better, she has better groundies and returns. So basically if I don't ace her she runs me all over the court. But I managed to split with her, and it was a lot of fun.

As a guy who falls right in the middle of the 4.5s and who has coached high level college women, I'd say that she's a very strong player who could likely succeed (or has succeeded) in D1. Also, she would utterly crush me and every other 4.5 guy.

USTA season is only about 2.5 months long so regardless of how many teams the season is 8-10 matches.

my friend you should stop seeking the praise for your hard work, instead, work hard to improve. you have come a long way, but still you have long way to go.
but if you are satisfied at where you are, then enjoy the complacency that will follow. for the professional, complacency is enemy,
dont dwell on praise, or receive the great fall.
as for those that praise the girls ability far greater than reality, i believe the expression they are overthinking with their little head?
i maybe say that wrong but you can get an idea.

my friend you do not know me.
you have the makings of a good player, but your shots not crisp enough for higher levels.
if you have a coach, change him, you have exceeded him by now.
you need speed and fast twitch movement in your approach. your shots are good for watever level u play, but to advance you need more delay and snap. you tend to push ball.
i dont mean to dissapoint, but first must instill resentment in yourself, to deep seat inspire to improve. thankyou my friend

i think for your style and adnancdment, try to study Shapovalov. notice the intensity and power of his strokes. the trmpo and the snap.
the shortened radius before the ball.
work for this and find a cosch that can work this level for you. he may not be an easy one to find, and private lesson these types often expensive. but you can still do a lot on your own if you have ability to analize.
improve my friend! never rest in complacency or believe that you have already arrived. when people praise you, simply say, "thank you", then walk away and forget about it, because you are on a journey that they are not.
