I used to jump over the net in high school, when I could easily dunk a volleyball in a 10 foot basketball rim.

One time I clipped my toe on the tape, and came close to breaking my wrist.

I never jumped over the net again since then. And I advise others not to. The risk/reward ratio is not great.

But I do sometimes walk over the net in a safe and controlled manner when I win.

Easily, 3.0, 43, volleyball player (main sport) I can clear the net post from a standing jump as well. First picked up a racquet 2 years ago and I started out jumping high for overheads. Confused/scared a lot of people.

47 and can clear it by a mile. Could reverse dunk in the old days though, so the net never really offered a challenge.

It’s a shame that my best move on the court has nothing to do with tennis.
