Canada is the best country in the universe

I will believe in Canada's real values when they invite and give asylum to the millions refugees waiting in Turkey hoping for an access to Europe, or the Mexicans waiting on the south border of the USA.

Canada seems to be a Great place in many many ways.
The population growth rate is not very promoting though so the economy demands foreigners to come and work.
The country only has about och 38 million people atm. Its a Huge country sizewise..

You must have missed British Columbia? It's incredibly beautiful. However, there are other areas of Canada that do seem pretty bleak to me.

I havent been all over in Canada, only Vancouver, for sure there is a lot of beautiful places
I’m just a bit fed up w travelling and my comment was a bit blunt

So great they gave Saudi woman asylum. She is a hero for millions of women and a proof feminism is desperately needed

I dont understand the constant push for feminism in countries that already have it, while they ignore the countries that dont. Its typical of these kind of movements.
Feminism is only interested in attacking western civilisation and they only come to rescue of females who are from the left. When a woman from the right of politics is treated with discrimination the sister hood is nowhere to be found.

The push for feminism in countries which “have it” exists because there is always ignorance to be extinguished. There will always be dudes who are meek, who are afraid of being emasculated by women and they’re cowardly so they hide behind bureaucracy and patriarchal “norms”.

I agree. Canada seems to be a great country but it also doesn't have large borders to poor regions and is pretty tough to reach compared to for example europe.

It is good that canada is tolerant towards refugees but would they still be if hundreds of thousands to millions came like it happened in europe?

Many feminist hate men, they publically speak about it. I think there is a double standard going on they refuse to acknowledge. The do not practice what they preach in reguards to equality.

Would you consider them ignorant like the men who dont treat women equally? Or are they immune because of their "victim" status?

I think men should be concerned about feminists whose main objective is to emasculate men and cause divisions in society.

Nobody who has been victimized has immunity under the law. Women defending themselves from their abusive partners still must prove it was self defence.

Thankfully, those extremists don’t represent an entire movement.

There are already many divisions in society and adherence to patriarchal standards because “it’s how I was brought up and it’s the way it’s always been!” is an abhorrent excuse. Here’s the apt quote:

“Equality feels like oppression when you have been accustomed to privilege.”

All said, damn I do like hockey, to watch as well as to play. Pond hockey: eat a big meal (for me, potato latkes) in the morning and spend most of the day out on the ice. Have a beer when you're off your shift.

Most people both men and women who have sons and daughters do not have anything against equality of opportunity and most reasonable people would be against oppression caused by corruption or tyranny. However what the third wave feminists are doing at present is tyranny. Male hate campaigns in what it is to inherently be a man is wrong, as is enforcing equality of outcomes through quotas and deliberately trying to hold back the success of boys in our school system is a disgrace and will make the women in the future extremely unhappy when they can't find a partner to be with.

As a non American, I do feel (at least from the media and TV) that feminism has a very distorted meaning there. Real issues of women still exist around the world which hardly get a mention. Instead what we read/hear are more anti-men campaigns. That is not what feminism is about. There are several countries where a woman and a mongrel are treated the same. Feminists should cast their eyes there.

Absolutely, well said in terms of directing feminism in areas of most need, places where we never hear from them yet appalling things are done.

It's called minding your own business and liberal hegemony has its limits.

And the idea that the West has feminism is a fantasy.

Push-back by people like you is driving back even basic feminist gains.
