Can't lie: The run for the CYGS is exciting... For all

I don't want Djoker to do it. His fans do.

That being said, whatever side you are on it makes things exciting and interesting.

Will he win 3 straight? Will he win Olympics? Will Rafa stop him at uso?

Will 21 be winning the CYGS. Incredibly exciting actually.

Can't deny it will be a fun summer watching how this plays out.

History being witnessed.

Shame @CYGS can't be here to witness it. :sneaky:

When he was trailing 0-5 in the first set , it looked like another rout at the hands of Rafa Nadal .
Plus Rafa was set to break slam Record by winning RG .
But he comes back to beat Rafa and win RG after being 2 sets down in final and keeps CYGS dream alive .

Anyone who doesn't find this interesting is just a little biased . ;)

Slightly ironic that "CYGS" the user isn't here to see this.

I hope he can do the Grand Slam to be honest. It's been so long since anyone did it and would be wonderful to witness this piece of history. The ultimate achievement in tennis
It might be the only interesting story in tennis right now, so let's see how it goes!

Yep. It can be exciting, fun, and interesting even if you don't like him.

Most excited I have been about tennis since 2017.

What happened to @CYGS? Why is he banned?

There's so much at stake and if Novak can do it then that is the greatest accomplishment. The greatest hurdle to accomplishing this in the past 15 years has been the French Open and not only did Novak win it but he did it by beating the clay GOAT Nadal en route. If he can win Wimbledon and the USO on top of it, that's just it wrapped up.

Reading this a little differently now that you've got the Gore avatar.

Haha I mean a large portion of the forum are Federer/Nadal fans whose skin crawls at the sight of Djokovic winning anything. So it’s unsurprising that they would be less than thrilled.

I’m just glad tennis seems to be mattering in the mainstream again. Not since 2017 have I felt that I’m witnessing anything historically relevant.. the Slam race is as big as it gets.

I think CYGS djokovic can pull off, Novak Slam also had similar pressure of 4 in a row and finally completing career grand slam although here being in a same year will bring immense pressure add to that the roccus crowd of new york

I am a Nole fan, but I am not convinced he wins Wimbledon. If he does then I will get excited. Personally I hope the slam race ends at 20/20/20, but if he gets Wimbledon then I hope he gets USO / AO for 5 in a row.

True.
Federer brought in alot of fans and media attention towards tennis during 2003-08 .
If Djokovic manages to win CYGS , it will bring the attention of the Sporting world towards tennis because CYGS is huge and unique achievement .
It will be good for tennis in the long run .

I don't think It is easy for him , but if he does it then that will be massive for himself and the sport !

Yes I’ve only recently warmed to Djoker. I always thought Nadal was the best of the 3, but has to be Djoker if we’re being serious. If he does complete the calendar slam forget it game over, he’s the goat.

Roland Garros was ridiculous. Unfortunately, Wimbledon has been pretty lackluster. Hopefully the tour heats back up when it moves back to hard courts.

Thanks for the tribute. Spencer Gore appreciates it.

It’ll be interesting at best. I’m not excited though.

i can’t see it. too many good players on hard courts and he’ll be burned out by the open if he wins Wimbledon and the olympics. I still got rafa for the us open. There’s a reason it hasn’t been done since 1969. It’s too physically and mentally draining. It’s not like he needs it anyways LOL. 3 slam hear and an olympics is Still a goat season and he will have had three of them (2011, 2015, 2021

But he cakes his way to the Wimbledon final (Draper/Anderson/Kudla/Garin/Fucsovics/Shapovalov) to keep the CYGS dream alive.

Hopefully there’s more drama at the US Open. I’m not exactly rooting for Novak to do it, but I’d love witnessing it, and I’d especially love seeing it in epic fashion a la Roland Garros. Would be a mind-boggling achievement – the first time on three surfaces and with modern technology. And at 34!

Definitely not a fan of Novak, hence my thoughts are biased. Anyhow, I think this year's CYGS would be anti-climatic and hollow...

Weird? I‘m not a huge Djoker fan but it’ll prob be the greatest achievement in tennis history. We may be seeing a great player turn into a sporting icon for the ages, essentially a god.

ND cleaning up whatever he wants from here on in seems like a given to me. Not finding it exciting really. Kind of meh. There is no one that is a challenge to him. I don’t want to see him humiliate Nadal/Fed at the uso, but he will if he plays them Kind of hope he embarrasses all the others, they deserve it. The olympics are filthy and don’t even care about them, but he will win the gold there too.

He won’t stop till minimum 25 slams either. It’s going to get bloody for all the other pros.

I guess in some twisted way it’s a spectacle, as I haven’t really seen such dominance in a sport, where every match is a foregone conclusion.

The odds are high Djoker is getting 20 at some point and he already has the numbers over Fed so these numbers are kinda irrelevant at this point. Might as well just enjoy the chase, even if ur rooting for it to be spoiled
