Can't try enough different strings

I am a 15, high school varsity player. I play everyday and have always had a problem breaking strings. I hit hard with a lot of spin and my mom finally told me to buy a stringing machine. So I did and I've been stringing my racquest for about a year. The problem is, I've never settled on a string that I liked. I've used multiple strings, ALU Power, Prince Syn Gut, Wilson NXT and more. But I still break strings quickly. Prince Syn Gut didn't last me a week and NXT lasted me about a week. I just don't know what kind to try next. I would rather play better than have a string last me a month or two though. Any suggestions?

I forgot to say that I use a Prince Tour Diablo and I just put Wilson Stamina Topspin 15L in it.

Okay, does ALU mains and NXT Tour sound good? I did try ALU for the mains and Prince Syn Gut for the crosses before and it felt pretty good.

isn't the great advantage of owning a machine that you can use strings that aren't durable? maybe i'm weird, i like stringing...anyhow, you might not want to try nxt tour in the crosses, that will
a) cost a ton
b) not be terribly durable (fraying).

try a cheap soft synthetic like ektelon powerplay, psg original, forten sweet (i'm testing that as a cross with babolat hurricane right now)

i'm a big hitter that uses lots of spin too and I'm using Luxilon BB Original and it hasn't broken on me yet. im not really known for being a string breaker, but i re-string my sticks every week or two. i've gone through two sets of the BB orig. that i've had to cut out because they were so dead. i hit for three hours a day at a tennis academy and have used TONS of string and this stuff hasn't let me down yet.

Oddly enough, you're kind of like me. I even play Tour Diablos. Last year, while I was 15, I got a stringer and have been stringing racquets for about a year. When it comes to string, I just want to try everything and never really get a chance to settle on one; I have tried Bow Brand when it was cheaper in a hyrid, and it felt great. Now that it isn't really a viable option, I'm still in the process of trying different strings; I like Biphase, and I ordered a set of Gamma Live Wire Revelation hearing some good news about it; I'm waiting for some of the Supreme 17 to be in stock, too, so I can see what the buzz is about. Over the past year though, I basically just tried many of the 10-15 dollar strings such as Biphase, Phenom XRC, ALU etc. in hybrids so it only comes out about 7-8 per stringing. I think ALU would be pretty good, but I wouldn't but NXT in the crosses; it seems like such a waste to me unless you have the money to, but if you have the money to, I'd just go with natural gut and ALU crosses or something like that.

probably an option you won't want to consider but choosing a racquet with a less open pattern (18 x20) could also increase string life, that's assuming you are using a stick with an open pattern, not sure what you are using now.

and hey everyone, isn't Kevlar still supposed to be very hard to break? You don't hear that much about it anymore. I know Prince Pro Blend combines Prince Syn Gut in crosses with Kevlar in the mains... here's what the TW player feedback is on those strings - http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/feedback.html?pcode=PROBL

hmmm I break strings about once a week but just bought the reel of gosen sheep micro 660' for 30 bucks. Everytime i break a string its like 2 bucks

I just strung my backup with Babolat Hurricane mains and Wilson Stamina crosses. It played great today. I even hit with more spin than usual.

nikeman - the most durable stuff u'll get are polyester or a kevlar, but even so, if u play all the time, and use tons of spin, the string tension will drop after a while - it is unrealistic to think that you will be able to use one set of strings for a month. ide reccommend ballistic or some other polyester.

Ashaway monogut mains and Ektelong powerplay crosses (any soft monofilament string will do). Cheap and plays well for about two weeks. For a big string breaker, monogut will last the perfect amount of time.
