Do you fellows know what stick Capriati is actually playing with these days?
supposedly the diablo.
Diablo fursure. Jenn has been fairly agreeable to Prince over the years, having switched racquet models five times.
diablo i think
not sure though
Prince Precision Retro MP (or a customised version of it)
The racquet she used to win her 1st Grand Slam at Australian Open 2001.
Then she used a
-> TT Rebel paintjob
-> Experimental paintjob
-> now the Diablo paintjob (which looks VERY similar to the Precision Retro)
I have a Precision Retro that was obtained from JCap at a tournament. She signed the grip for me as well. It is very close to the Rebel and now very close to the Diablo. But it is not either one of these rackets. The Retro racket was something that was never marketed. It was going to be put out for the public, but Prince thought that it might too trendy to be named the Retro.
Prince did market this racquet, but for a limited time only. TW sold these: http://web.archive.org/web/20001216142300/www.tenniswarehouse.com/descpage.html?pcode=RETRO
Specs are: 100sq inch/28 inch long etc.
and this is a picture of that racquet she used in 2000 HK Ladies Challenge:
and another from 2000 Sydney
and 2004 miami using the diablo paintjob (but looks VERY similar to Retro)
You were looking at the "experimental" Diablo.
She plays the:
Wasn't the Experimental Diablo, black and white with experimental written on the throat?
At the 2001 Adidas International (Sydney), she was using the Precision Retro as said by the stringer she used at the tournament.
ps: the first two pictures of her racquet differs from the third one (from previous post)...if you look at the first two pictures you could almost see the word "Straight Beam" on the throat where the third picture is the Diablo paintjob...
