Hopefully it's not going to be to tight. It was already pretty tight being a 16x20 in a 98 square inch head.Specs have been leaked. They changed the string pattern in density
I was hoping it would be. This sounds nice. But not to soft. We still need some power from this frame.also read that it will be softer
Do you have a link for the new PA98 specs?Specs have been leaked. They changed the string pattern in density
Yesare the blades softer and more comfy than the vs?
we dont know his specs then, besides he is not 17 anymore, he has put almost 10 kg in and is much stronger now, can the number one in the world be the pro player with the lightest frame?
Yeah sure, you should check your factsFritz is 299 grams

This is really close to retail specs.Holy cow! I didn't check the boards for few days and got some hurt feelings . First of all I was joking, I guess I know who the real trolls are, so relax. I’ve been busy so didn’t get to post the rest of the pics. If you check my previous posts I’ve contributed with plenty to this forum. What’s up with this entitled attitude anyways… I don’t need credit from a forum of nobodies, I’m here to learn and share.
I’ll post the pics tomorrow, just easier to do it on pc instead of my phone.
Measured specs - 330g 32.2cm L4 with og
So the confirmed spec I got from babolat which was unstrung is def correct. Balance could be off by .1mm but the swing weight could be matching.
The person that has it was ultra protective of the frame so I couldn’t take it for swingweight measurement but I’m guessing 325~ ish. My modded VS is 331g 32.7cm 333sw. So I’ve measured 6 VS Aeros frames so far and I can tell you the quality control is really good all 6 were within 5g or less. So I can tell you by the 6 frames that it is possible to get a stock frame at this spec but it’ll be by pure chance. No silicone in the handle or lead under the head bumper. He grips the over grip really tight so the grip didn’t feel that big. Ive transitioned from a L4 to L2 over the years, kind of makes me curious to try it out again with new tech.
cheers!
almost forgot Rpm blast 1.30mm 25k/23kg

Thank youThis is really close to retail specs.
If you watch the site that sells pro stock racquets you can see them pop up from time to time. Only problem is you have to pay to playRegardless of what carlitos is using I think it’s the saddest thing ever that bab could have a 61 RA pure drive floating around and I’ll never get to try it
They look sweet!
No dots on the new version?
They could even be lower RA!They look sweet!
I'm hoping like 65. That would be perfecto! They could even be lower RA!
Seems like it! Lost the spin grommets too while Rune and Alcaraz kept theirs

Same stiffness? I thought maybe it would have a slightly lower RA.If you check the Racquet section on the forums, Babolat_official has confirmed that the Pure Aero 98 will keep all of the same specs as the VS (beam width, string spacing, swingweight, stiffness, etc). The only change they're making is the grommets at 12 and 6. Retangle "spin" grommets are gone. And maybe some sprinkles of "flax fibers" in the hoop for marketing reasons, ofcourse.

Alcaraz still has the rectangular grommets at 6 and 12.Holy cow! I didn't check the boards for few days and got some hurt feelings . Bonjour from Babolat: Part TroisWhat thread are you referring to? I can't find it.
Maybe the new grommets weren't ready for the PJ frame or Carlos doesn't want to make the change mid season.Alcaraz still has the rectangular grommets at 6 and 12.
or he likes the spin grommetsMaybe the new grommets weren't ready for the PJ frame or Carlos doesn't want to make the change mid season.
Be he trains at Juan Carlos Ferrero Academy in Valencia. If you said he was at the JCF Academy then that would make senseYes one of Alcaraz's friends confirmed the information to Jonas, if you don't believe in this kind of informations from a credible guy like Jonas, I don't know what this Forum would be for, normally all the informations here must be wrong unless you try by yourself the player's racket and that you measure the characteristics with your machines. Jonas was at Nadal's academy last week and he was able to get a lot of informations.
I believe Holger is using stock as well. I got a hold of a racket of his with a slight crack and it felt exactly like stock VS. No lead tape insight. And felt as light as a normal babolat.
Thats weird, earlier his specs leaked and it was a beeefy frame. 350 SW or something.Rune's specs in Sanremo this year were 337gr, 32.6cm balance and 335.5 sw (with overgrip and a thick plastic film to protect the overgrip). The information comes from the official tournament stringer

I'm not buying it.this is what he posted Just After Sanremo's Challenger, and he Is a very good and professional stringer.
But are you selling it?I'm not buying it.
NopeBut are you selling it?
How does it play with a full bed of Tour Hex?323-325 would be my guess.
I just got a PAVS. 332g w/ OG, O dampener, and Tour Hex 1.23. It has a 324 SW. The 16G RPM in Alvarez’s racquet probably bumps it a smidge over mine.
Is he still playing it stock?
spin grommets? I cant tell
Looks like the Pure Aero 98 circular grommets. No longer the oval spin grommetsspin grommets? I cant tell
I looked at some of his pics in this thread:
Carlos Alcaraz with pure aero VS in 2021
Where are the experts TTW resident stringers with the confirmed info about his racket specs? Why is this being kept top secret?tt.tennis-warehouse.com
and it seems to my eye that he didn't have spin grommets even on the original paintjob racquet there. I feel I read somewhere that some pros don't use the Babolat spin grommets.
I see. I guess he needed something softer.Pico, I DO see the spin grommets (oblong shape on the 6 center mains) on the close up shots in the link you provided. Alcaraz always had those grommets when he used the PAVS and continued to have them even after the paintjob change at the Montreal Masters in early August 2022.
It’s only when he finally returned from injury in Rio and Buenos Aires 2023 that he is playing with the standard 2023 Pure Aero 98 grommets, which has me believing that he finally switched to the new version.
