Carlos Alcaraz is using a stock Pure aero vs

Now that is an article baby

Curious if Babolat has new string that’s yellow to market - or just want that Solinco market share

Interesting. If you look at the racquet in Ferrero's left hand, it has lead tape at 12. He is tinkering with weight!
I don't think that's lead tape, in that specific pic. But I don't deny he's probably trying different setups.

I posted this pic in the Alcaraz shoes thread. I would love to have a mobile version of the RDC.

Alcaraz took back his PAVS immediately from Neymar, but Neymar asked for Nadal's racket instead. There might be some secrets in Alcaraz's racket as he appeared to be overly protective. Nadal's racket is the one that's really close to retail so he could give it out without hesitation.

Ey guys.. I have some important info.

So I've got to see the Carlitos racquet from 2020 (I have a photo), the one he used in he's firsts ATP matches... pure aero 100 full yellow color.

AND ITS A PURE AERO TOUR 4-1/2... so we are talking about 315 grams unstrung when he was 16.

Make your own conclutions...

He saw Sinner tear the cover off the ball on both wings and decided to go lighter?

Never lighter when you need to block a 230 km/h serve and you are adding to your body tons of muscule... I think Jannik and Carlos are playing with similar SW... but diferent balance and static weight... you can see by the technic.

I bet Carlos is working similar to Verdasco and Federer... around 31.6 balance and high static weight...

But anyways... this is confidential and we will not know the truth for the moment, until Babolat wants...

I will say from this angle it definitely looks like a 23 PA98, especially the upper throat area which is wider compared to the flatter throat of the new aero
The part of the throat just above the handle is an easy giveaway of ‘23 vs new - g the pics shared in the other threads are legit. These pictures are clearly not the new model.

I’m kinda surprised a bit. I’d think when you have a player of this caliber willing to switch rackets at all, you’d think they would develop it in close concert with him making it exactly what he wants. The consumer market will buy it no matter if it’s a good fit for them, as long as Alcaraz uses it. Maybe that’s what they’ve done and he will switch or maybe it’s not up to par with his PA98.

Aero 98 2023 already has and will continue to have legendary status not only the endorsements and stories for Tsitsi and Bublik, but also nicer glossy paint job, prices will go up on the second hand market. This new grey paint is rather dull.
Is someone here also stacking up with 1 or 2 frames at discount?

You mean like an Alcaraz PJ? I could see them doing a special PJ for him pretty soon
Yep, like they had for Nadal. Every junior player around Atlanta had the orange and purple pj a couple of years ago. Many of them aren’t even Babolat players anymore. An Alcaraz PJ could get them back
