Is Carlos equal to Becket Lendl Edberg Mats McEnroe on all time greatest ever player?
Or Has he overtaken them?

Lendl, Connors and McEnroe are greater than Alcaraz because they have many more weeks at #1.

Lendl 270
Connors 268
McEnroe 170
Alcaraz 56

CGS is inflated with the homogenized game. Everyone plays similar on all surfaces.

1 in 1970-2008 (39 years)
7 in 2009-2026 (19 years)
Agreed there really is no major difference between the slams in terms of pace or height. Grass doesn't stay as low and hard courts are not as quick. If we had true surface differentiation then I don't think any of the recent greats would have the Career Slam.

I think it has more to do with racquets and strings, anyway regardless of the reasons they can't be compared.

These are the 1995 French Open and Wimbledon finals, they look like different sports.

It’s not all about world no 1. You have to look at Davis cup and Olympic records and indoor tour final. Becker has strong stats in Davis cup and end of yr tour finals , and great record on indoor carpet
