Never is a term that should NEVER be used.

Carlos lost to Monfils and Botic in the US open series back to back. That is worse than Djokovic at 21 years old.

I'll go with Roger's 16-14 in the 5th set Wimbledon final being the strongest mental fortitude in history.
As we all remember, and I'm not a raving Djokovic fan, Carlos lucked out when Djokovic missed two routine bhs in the 2d set TB or Carlos would be down 2 sets to zero. So that wasn't any sign of mental strength. His last 3 losses to him prove that.

I just like how the gold medal was paraded around here for years, and then Djokovic gets it, and its like watching a balloon just spontaneously burst itself out of existence. It was the one thing that was held against Djokovic....but the tennis Gods decided enough is enough.

I was going to say "well he got it against a weak field and Carlos is a player who can look very awesome or spray balls wildly out on break chances."
