Carry-On Tennis Bag

I have a Wilson Super Tour 15 Pack bag that I need to take home because I got a new one and my sister wants to use it. I am also flying back from college due to Thanksgiving break so I am packing my clothes and stuff inside too.

The question is: can I fit the bag (which will only have 2 rackets) with clothes in the carry-on overhead cabin?

I took a tennis trip in March 2019. My Babolat 12-pack bag with six rackets in it was larger than the TSA's size limit for carry-on luggage. Going one way, I flew JetBlue first class, and they allowed me to carry it on the plane. On the way back, American made me check it.

This is what I expected - sometimes will be allowed, sometimes will not.

Cheers from Florida. Just did Dallas to JAX on AA with a loaded 15-racket bag and no one said a thing.

Did 3 European trips (to europe and all around europe) last 2 months and no one said a thing (AA, BA, Air Serbia, LH…)

Going to europe Monday - same bag goes with me

3.2M miles on One World, 2M miles on Star Alliance - was forced to check my bag once in 2013 on Malaysia Airlines from Bangalore to Kuala Lumpur.
