On the WTA the points difference between 2 and 15 isn't very big.

In the ATP the points between 3 and 7 can be much bigger.

WTA's even points distribution means that rankings are arbitrary and not to be taken seriously, especially not now with Wimbledon points missing coz if they counted Jabba would be ahead of Kontaveit.
