Just watched the Game of him against Berrettini and I must say his racket looks exactly like the current Ezone 2020.
In some old article I foubd he uses a Ezone 100 but I am wondering if he made the switch.
Someone has info?

I asked him about this during the covid break. He’s using an extended length Ezone (not sure of which mold) 100 prostock, which he’s not able to disclose due to contract terms, but he did say it’d not available as a retail frame.

Up close, he hits a massive ball, and when he really goes all in, it’s as heavy as it gets.

It’s likely a DR98 or 100:

18x20 ftw

Semi-Pro
Poly tour pro for a string but achieving the highest spin rate, over the likes of Thiem, Sock, and Rafa! Interesting.

Casper needs better 2-handed backhand if he's to break into top 10
It's way better than a year ago, and on clay it's good enough crosscourt, but DTL, esp. on the shorter balls, is where he loses important points against the best players. On a positive note though, if he manages to patch those holes in his game, which looks likely, he'll be contending for the crown on clay, that's for sure.

he also needs a hot super model girlfriend to sit in his friends box in some skimpy cloth to get more air time and more threatening game

Ruud uses a DR 100 + under the latest PJ.

He uses some kind of prostock, prob based on the DR100+, as he told me it wasn’t available for sale - and that he couldn’t reveal the specs due to his contract. He did confirm it was an extended version though.

Watching him play Sonego in Vienna. The amount of power he has. Are the Ezones, now, more powerful than the Vcore 98/100? Are the Ezones the “power” like so to speak for yonex ?

when the Ezone Ai came out they were always compared to blades.

According to that famous internet authority Tennis Nerd - Ruud's racquet is actually even longer than 27.5"; this would obviously help with power, apart from his overwhelming natural ability of course.
(Interesting to watch the Monfils/Schwartzman long body vs. longer body duel in Vienna - spoiler alert, the longer body won; it's hard to believe many racquet companies continue to provide their pros with back door specials whilst ignoring the long body at retail - tell Yonex and Babolat that there's no market for them.)

Hawkeye clocked him at something like 104mph on one of his forehands. So he's certainly using that extra length to good effect.
He's all over this video:

At 2-3 changeover in first set of sinner match yesterday, Rudd gave his racket to the stringer on tv - did he say 54 for the tension or 44?

Novak doesn't use gut / poly hybrid? Lynx / Hawk hybrid instead?

Is this Dennis Novak or Nole?
Those are data from Vienna Open, and that column seems to be last names only, so yes, it’s pretty safe to assume it’s Dennis Novak.

You got to ask him personally?

Yes, since he was training at my club, I asked him during a break about this racket specs and his reply was that he couldn't tell me those because of his contract, and that the racket was not available "off the shelf".
I remember being curious about how heavy it was, and how it would feel to hold and swing, but thought it was inappropriate to ask at the time.

That's pretty awesome!

He should've let you hit with it. That's probably not violating his contract.

It's weird that he tell you that he couldn't tell you the specs on his racquet but that his racquet is not an "off the shelf" racquet. When someone tells me that their racquet is not "off the shelf", it immediately says to me that they are possibly 1.) using something custom out of the factory or 2.) using something that was initially an off the shelf racquet and since been modified.

I'd venture a guess that he starts with an "off the shelf" racquet and has it modified to his preferred specs.

I don't remember exactly how I phrased the question, but it was about specs in one way or the other. I do remember the gist of his answer, and that was 1) he couldn't tell med bc of contractual obligations, but he added something along the lines of not being able to get it off the shelf, whilst ending the "conversation" on the matter at that point. The latter part I interpreted as an answer someone in his position would give about pro stocks without saying too much or overstepping the terms of his contractual obligations. In that specific context, I got what he hinted to.
