Season tips off tonight. Idk who’s into the November/December tournaments but I love them. Coaches classic (3) Kansas vs (4) Duke and (1) Michigan St vs (2) Kentucky gets us started

Enjoyed Michigan State being ranked #1 for 10 minutes. If Langford cannot play this year they will struggle a lot.

Both games Champs Classic games were very sloppy.

Doesn't get any easier for MSU either. @ #12 Seton Hall next week. Probably will see Kansas in Maui and then Duke in a month.

Duke just topped that one, losing to Texas/SFAustin at Cameron. The last non-conference loss at home was in 2000.
Michigan State also lost as a 15 point favorite a few days ago. Not sure what is going on. Nobody that good this year I guess. Not yet at least . Thought maybe Va tech was just good but Dayton beat them by near 30 pts.

SFA is 1-0 against AP #1 ranked teams now. Crazy to think Duke went 150 games and 19 years between home out of conference losses

Yea there’s no super team or super strong freshmen recruiting class for one school. Also no real standout freshmen or nba prospects. Just not the same buzz around Wiseman and Anthony that Simmons Wiggins towns okafor etc got.

Top 5 this week

Louisville
Kansas
Maryland
Michigan
Virginia

was not expecting to see 3/5 teams there. Also Michigan set a record by being the first team to go from unranked to 4th. Highest ever ranking for a team debuting in the top 25

Duke whooped our butt but I had a fun time. That’s what I expected Duke to do to us in the Elite 8.

I don’t get how Duke lost to SFA. They swatted all of our shots but SFA got 60+ in the paint. Duke must have just been lazy that night.

The Stuart Scott speech has the same impact on me, especially when he calls his daughter on stage because he needed a hug.

The chaos continues lol, Ohio State falls to .500 Minnesota.

The Big Ten is currently undefeated at home in conference play. Hopefully my Spartans can turn the tide when they visit Northwestern mid-week.

Kansas becomes the 5th different number 1 this season. Louisville Michigan State Duke and Kentucky are the others That’s the most before New Years. Most in a season is 7, we might pass that this year. North Carolina also dropped out of the top 25 for the first time in six years

Nother number 1 drops. Gonzaga to be 6th #1 probably.

Looking at their schedule they might have it a while.
And now it’s official. Only need one more to tie the record for a whole season and two more to break it. I could see (the) Ohio State taking it at some point. Not sure who the second team would be. I’m guessing Auburn would have the best chance

Baylor becomes the 7th different number 1 tying the record set in 1983. Half the season left to get an 8th

Gonzaga suffered the Clemson football “Who did you play?” effect, dropping a spot without losing.

FSU up to #5. We are quickly becoming a basketball school!

How was this thread on page 2 the morning after Malice in the Mid-west???

KU’s Sivio De Sousa is already the leader in the clubhouse for the 2020 Myles Garrett Losing It Award for the chair grab/attempted swing in the middle of the disabled seating section.

WTF was the kstate guard thinking trying to show up the rival home team with a last second steal and layup? Of course if you get blocked Kansas is gonna taunt you cmon man that was such a stupid unnecessary play that set off that disaster. Take the loss like a man and let them dribble out the 12 seconds

Congrats to @stringertom 's Seminoles on their first ever ACC regular season championship, if the article I read is correct in that it's their first.

Excellent job by Leonard Hamilton, and a win in the ACCT should get them a 1 seed, in my opinion.

After a tumultuous season, my Spartans have claimed a share of the Big Ten Championship. Quite an accomplishment given that a few weeks ago they were jettisoned out of the rankings completely and 3 games out of first in the conference.

I believe they will get a 3-4 seed and a Big Ten Conference Tournament win might get them a 2 or a "better 3". Not sure.

It's been a rough year for MSU, with Cassius Winston's brother committing suicide, for starters. Then Hauser did not gain immediate transfer eligibility to play this season which was a big loss to depth and losing a competent big man. And of course, Joshua Langford, our second best player and largely responsible for our preseason Rank 1, missing the entire season. To add insult to injury, he will likely never play basketball again.

The tournament will be wild, there is no surefire favorite. Even Kansas and Baylor who have stayed at the top most of the season have games they look weak in. Baylor especially is starting to lose at the worst possible time of year. SDSU is looking shaky as well.

Dayton and Creighton are my dark horses for the tournament. Lot of talent.

But make no mistake, any team in the field could go out the first weekend this year. It's about to get nutty.

The most inconsistent but highest ceiling team to me is Duke. When it's working, they look very good, when it isn't, anyone can beat them.

This has been the strangest year of College Ball I can ever remember.
