Challenge with getting Tennis Balls

I'm still awed by the challenge of getting a case of tennis balls - even the Costco by my house is out, which is crazy! Before anyone says Costco Penns aren't good, I know but with a family of young boys who are loving tennis, having the case of Costco Penns for them to take when playing with friends is easier to accept than a $90 case of USOpens.

Anyone seeing similar challenges?

I know that my club wasn't able to get their normal delivery of Babolat Gold Championship and had to use what I assume were the Costco Penns for about a month. They are back to the Babolats. I haven't been to Costco or any sporting goods company lately.

Got a Walmart near you? I've been getting boxes of Penn's from them at about $24/box, no issues. I'm not super picky about ball types tho

I wish some of my older hitting partners liked the premium balls. Unfortunately, many of them don't because they are too hard in the mornings here when temps are in the 50's F°.

I find the AOs get really fuzzy, though they last, while USOpens wear more predictively. For my family of 4 that all play, constantly buying $90+ cases of balls will get out of hand how quickly we tend to go through them. I usually like to have some basic Penn Champ/Dunlop Champ balls for the regular grab and use, with the higher quality more for higher level play and ladder matches.

I don't have any issues with Dunlop Champ - I find they are of higher quality than Costco Penns, last longer and are overall more durable with a consistent bounce. Costco Penns are also just fine for rec play, keeping in mind they are done after a solid set, maybe sooner.

That is the main reason I switched to Dunlop, b/c everyone uses Penns of some flavor so this way I always got my balls back

Same here. I use either Dunlop or Babolat. Very few, if any, use either Dunlop or Babolat.
