I was planning on purchasing the pro staff blx six.one 100. and stringing with Champions Choice w/ natural gut in the mains and luxilon in the crosses. Does anyone have any experience using this string hybrid?

Yes, but don't think that Amy particular perdon's experience will help you

You can check this forum for a LOT of talk about hybrids with gut/poly. Main pros are:
- spin: read up in TWU for explanation on lowest friction and increase in spin
- softer than poly, but not as powerful as gut (characteristics are a mix)

Background:
I've come back to tennis after 21 years just 2 months ago. Never played in the USA, but based on the scathing critique of different players I've seen here on video, I'd say I was a good 4.0. Now, may be a 3 or 3.5 due to nonexistent fitness and no consistency.
First tried multis, but due to playing with stiff frames had to change rackets to EZone XI 98 from TW and ordered this setup at 50/46.

Personal impressions:
This is all relative to XCel power 16 and addiction in an APDGT plus my memories of gut and nylon in the 90s-SPIN! Definitely a lot of it. In fact, I've had to adopt a less low to high stroke, as I tend to hit with a low clearance and this setup leads to me netting if I go with my typical stroke.

Power is less than multis in APDGT, but I like it, as it allows my 1hbh to be exactly in the last 3rd of the court, while it was spraying before.

Control: I don't think I'm qualified at this point in time to judge. I'm just too inconsistent right now.

Feel: same as multis in APDGT, but definitely with less vibrations. However, this is mainly due to the new racket.

Durability: almost all here say that Alu rough dies in less than 4 hrs. However, I've played with this for 14 hrs now and I do play with a lot of spin. So far, the strings still realign and I don't feel I'm spraying. However, I started feeling as if the string job is a bit stiffer after 6hrs, but nothing to the extent that would make me feel it is not tolerable bearing in mind that I am still suffering from lingering effects of tennis/golfer elbow.

That was my impression and of course YMMV
