    Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the effects of adding lead weight into the handle of a Head-heavy racquet to cause the balance to lean toward head-light. Would the racquet head speed increase by due to the new head-light (because of the counter-weighting in the handle) or would it decrease becuase you're actually increasing the overall weight (and thus the swing weight)?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Sorry about this unhelpful post but iam also thinking of the same. I have a HH racquet and want to see if i can make it HL for sometime and see what it does to my game.

You can certainly do it, and it will make for a more solid hit and less shock; how it effects your racquet speed depends on your swing mechanics.

Bear in mind that it takes a fair amount of weight to move the balance point -- you'll need an ounce or more to shift it an inch (8 points). But the results can be interesting, and it may give you what you want.
