characteristics for a good return racket?

lets say all things being equal, same strokes/reactions/person etc. What are the characteristics you found that make for a good return racket against higher level players with good pace/spin/control etc.

High swingweight and stability for me. I also seem to return better with a denser string pattern.

Flex so I can attack 2nds and not fly long, high SW and recoil weight (high sw and high weight in the handle), powerful strings, but stiff stringbeds so their pace doesn't deflect back at too high an angle, denser patterns, at least midplus headsizes

thx I've noticed the same things. Except I actually prefer less lively strings
