Cheaper alternative to Asic's Resolution 8's?

Anyone know of a show with similar fit and characteristics to the Resolution but at a lower cost? thanks

The Challenger is an excellent shoe. Gasquet was wearing them for matches over the Resolutions even if he could wear whatever he wants, so they couldn't have been that bad.

All the reviewers complained that they stretch out and lose shape quickly. Gasquet can afford a new pair for every match.

Well, it is obvious that somewhere a compromise should be made. I have played in the Challengers in the past, and while they were not a complete substitute for the Resolutions they were pretty damn close (certainly closer than the price difference suggests, with a slight reduction in the stability of the shoe, but then again, they are also slightly lighter, if I remember correctly).

I personally haven't experienced quick loss of shape, but I am pretty light on my toes, and pretty light myself (78 kilos right now), so that may have something to do with it, or maybe the model was more durable in the past.

I have used the Challengers for years. It's a good shoe, very comfortable, no break in required, and are light weight shoe.

Any model in particular?
I’d try the ultrashot. I haven’t tried the new one though. The 1 and 2 were very stable and comfortable. I currently wear the hypercourt express and it’s got plenty of cushion and it’s light. Not the same level of support as the ultrashot though.

Gel Res 8's are pretty cheap, if you play often it's 135 for a pair and it's easy to wear them out before 6 months and get a 2nd pair for free so it works out to less than 70 a pair. I don't think there's anything on the market that's a better deal.
