Christopher O'Connell Racquet

Trip

Legend
I know he's not on most people's radar, but wondering if anyone can confirm Chris O'Connell's frame, string setup and/or unstrung/strung spec?

The first photo found was from AO 2011 playing junior doubles, using what appears to be a kBlade 18x20, can't tell if it's a pro stock or not. (click to zoom)

Fast forward to present day and now it appears to be a Blade 16x19 pro stock:

Unsure of string setup, although in some photos it looks like gut mains / 4G or Alu crosses. And spec is unknown.

If anyone can add info, much appreciated.

If I recall from a few years ago, he likes his tensions high. Like up to 60lbs. Unheard of in the modern game.
He probably likes a higher level of power based on hammer-like bludgeoning (from high-ish SW + firm string bed), kind of how Sinner likes it, as opposed to power from something lighter/whippier with a softer/bouncier string bed. Fairly understandable, given his mechanics.

I heard he was using an old 18x20 Blade. Same as the one Djokovic used to use.

He appears to have switched racquets or string patterns recently, though.

Why , given his mechanics?
Anyway one of players that i like to see when in a good day..
