Very true.
I'm particularly impressed with the Croat's serve to be precise. I'm sure that Stef would get nightmare-ish thougts upon seeing him at the opposite side of the net even if he does beat Daniil here. The USO 2020 match was probably one of the top10 worst chokes.

Borna was always such a talented player, albeit very unlucky with the injuries... Maybe it is his time now...

Med's return position gets exposed by S and V. Why dont players expose Nadal's return position similarly? Does Nadal adjust better?

You watch the match and go" How the hell is this Med pusher #1 and with a slam and the other guy isn't". Its easy to watch this match and know Tstsi is way more talented than Med
Different gamestyles, they have talent at different tennis things, but yeah i also prefer all court attaking tennis, but it would lose its value if everybody played like that

So long as this match stays at this quality and both players are in good health after, the final looks to be a really entertaining battle.

Coric waiting in the final... Whoever wins this match has a real chance to win it all..

I wouldn't be so sure. Coric leads the H2H against Medvedev 4-2. And he leads Tsitsipas 1-0 winning a fantastic 5 setter at the USO 2020 (not counting that Coric retirement in Rome)

The guys who are truly good at hitting their spots on serve have been able to. Folks may give me the Nadal is injured excuse, but this match below was a perfect example of how to approach Nadal's return positioning.

As for this match. Has been pretty good so far. Stef continuing to work the slice which was pretty effective in his match with isner. Has been very solid with his net approaches too.

Wasnt Nadal ahead 2-1 in sets in this match. Cilic was not running away with the match in any way. Pretty sure Cilic chokes away the 5th set here if it was played. Cilic is a certified choker LOL

To me, Medvedev looks like a low-level adult league player who got abducted by aliens and infused with extraterrestrial goatness juice.

Smooth shots are not always synonym of talent. I can talk to you how better are Medvedev's BH, serve, movement, even the slice.

With all four wins before 2019. In fact, the only final played was Med destroying Borna in St. Petersburg.

Yeah I have mentioned that in another thread. However back then Coric wasn't serving 140 mph bombs like he does now. A lot has changed and at the same time, this is not the Medvedev of 2019-2021 so far this season. I'd love to see Med win this match and make the final, would be super interesting imo

Med does seem to handle no variety players like Djokovic and so I think it would be a great match if Med wins

That's just ridiculous. Medvedev is like 7 ft yet his court coverage isn't any lesser than the absolute best. He can serve bombs, he can rally, great BH, functional FH, maturity, you name it. He doesn't have alot of holes in his game. Medvedev is a freak of nature. Here in the 2nd set you can see why Tsitsipas is not way more talented.

I think when people say this, they are generally saying "his game is less aesthetically pleasing as compared to this other player." If you actually analyze what he does on the court to his opponents (when he's on, this isn't a particularly great year for him), it becomes a lot more clear.
