He is hitting sub 55 first serves for some time now. It's like he has gone back to his 2022 self. It's not hard to see.
He's getting the gut check he needs.

History suggests as well that whoever wins cincy that it bodes well for the us open. Either winning it or getting to the final at least. A big week for Sinner as you say to get his mojo back.Yes. He needs this, especially before the USO, where he needs badly to perform well.
Rublev has lost it again!
Good this guy lost though. Popyrin has better looking gameHe should have won last week in Montreal.
Sinner will be happy to just get through. He needs these matches to get himself battle tested for us open. He has a chance to play himself into form.Rublev self destructed but sinner never should have been in this position to begin with against a player like this. These let ups aren’t good.
Do you have him winning here?Well played Sinner. He breaks!
What happened in the 2nd set? Close set all the way through or Rublev was up a break and choked it away?
After 1-0 where he had 6 break points in that third set, all the momentum was on his side. Then the hip flare and his game went downhillHe should have won last week in Montreal.

Ok thanks. Sinner is in control now. He definitely didn't want to lose to Rublev twice in 2 weeks heading into the USO.Sinner played better.
Sinner most likely is losing in usopen.Ok thanks. Sinner is in control now. He definitely didn't want to lose to Rublev twice in 2 weeks heading into the USO.
Not necessarily. Tough conditions today but winning matches like this when you're not playing well helps your confidence.Sinner most likely is losing in usopen.
Maybe early
You’re stupidity amazes me lolSinner most likely is losing in usopen.

Yes but his serve is far worse in wind than Nole'sNot necessarily. Tough conditions today but winning matches like this when you're not playing well helps your confidence.
Impressive 3rd set from sinner
Hard to predict how the weather will be. I don't remember it being that windy in NY last year. I am concerned about how he is physically though.Yes but his serve is far worse in wind than Nole's
He is dependent on his serve and in usopen it would be similar. And he has hip issues.
Things tightening up. Sinner better close it here or it could get dicey.Rublev just swinging freely...
5-4 Sinner
Poor conditions. Sinner got to serve it outGood effort from rublev to fightback this set. Sinner to try serve it out again.

Yea definitely. Seems like since they got the roof, the wind is less of a problem but that humidity though. I remember in 2018 the ventilation was terrible and Federer was sweating like a bull. lol. They must have improved it since then. The wind should not be a factor on Ashe....it will all be about the humidity in there.
Bad news if wind comes for sinner. The wind should not be a factor on Ashe....it will all be about the humidity in there.

Sinner is back. I think he wins this tournament now! Big win for him.Sinner wins!!!
He badly needed this win.
Yes physical tests in old age. That's why I am not very high on nole. AO and wimby he can still be top favorite. Or second. Here third. It was the first time Federer wanted to quit and get off the court. He admitted himself, that he just wanted to stop playing and run away.
I've never seen Federer sweat that much in any match than in that 4th round in 2018. Just terrible and dreadful conditions to play in.It was the first time Federer wanted to quit and get off the court. He admitted himself, that he just wanted to stop playing and run away.
He may have Zverev in the SF. I hope he doesn’t lose to him five times in a rowSinner is back. I think he wins this tournament now! Big win for him.
The wind is a big factor in this tournament and he’s putting less pace behind the groundrrrokesIs it my imagination, or is Sinner playing slightly differently now from his early 2024 form? His groundstrokes look wristier, less powerful.
That centre court is some really random architecture.
Yeah it’s a nice stadium but definitely a collage of various upgrades the tournament has done over the years as opposed to just tearing it down and building a new stadium. That centre court is some really random architecture.
What does that even mean?Zverev is loser just putting it out here
