Cincinnati - the real Slam

Huh? Why not?

According to Suresh, Cincy turned out not to be the fifth Slam, because Federer didn't have to play Nadal (a great defence from Suresh of course). Since Fed only played Nadal here twice, his YEC's of 2006 and 2007 can't be matched if Rafa goes out.

Hmm, I could see how that argument would make sense for someone like Suresh. I love her/his threads though, because they are either comedy gold or the opposite of what's written in them happens.

NO ONE WILL EVER TOP FEDERER'S SLAM COUNT! How can they talk about Borg and Laver? THEY NEVER WON THE REAL SLAM :)

My take is sureshs is hardly bothered about Fed winning or losing, but finds it too easy to stoke up you lot. I am surprised that adults (I presume not all the posters are kids) can get so riled up about some gentle ribbing about Fed, nadal or whomever.

It seems to me a lot of posters on this thread need to get a grip, more of a life, and realise if someone is gently taking the mick out of something, its hardly a life or death matter. Reacting to that like someone has stolen your car is pretty immature.

And to take pleasure (with such passion) in the OP being wrong (I think he was expecting to be wrong anyway, or not that bothered if he turned out to be wrong) really shows a terminal lack of humour here.

chill.

I just have to:

Federer won it so it is null and void with these creepy types. Now when Nadal wins it it will be valid. One of these times they will get it right. Thankfully these humanoids are not the ones writing the history books of tennis.
