Trying to see if I can get up there for a day probably on the Wednesday. Anyone been, any tips. I hate DC traffic so avoiding that would make the whole thing more enticing.

where are you staying? If its nearby I would either metro or bus over.

I'm a local(live 40 minutes outside DC) but I am planning on going more than once

I will just drive up, about 4 hours and change if traffic is ok (ha). Watch the tennis then drive home that night until I am tired and crash at a hotel off the freeway. The website shows park and ride so I will probably do that.

I dont know if you can leave your car in the park and ride all day, but from what I rememember there are shuttle points from certain areas in town to Rock Creek Park Center.

DId that last year, drove into a garage near the pick up point and just rode the shuttle to/from

Also if i remember correctly the parking rate if you can provide proof with your ticket is a flat rate

Weather forecast awful for the drive and probably the tennis. Looks like I will skip this

We never really get lucky in terms of rain,

Last year when I went to see the Thiem-Anderson match the skies opened up and stormed about 20 minutes after I got there and resulted in a rain delay. their match didnt start until 1030

Its pouring buckets now in DC with pretty bad storms and they cancelled the rest of the evening.

Usually when it rains here where I live i always know its a matter of time before it hits DC.

Was at gf’s parents house when it started pouring and left to go home 10-15 min away. Got home and turned on tv to see rain delay and then just checked IG to see they cancelled
