Both 16x20, the biggest difference between V2 and V3 is weight. V3 is 5 grams lighter.Which one is more of a players racquet; Clash pro v2 or v3 ?
I understand v3 is more like v1, softer. Both 16x20, the biggest difference between V2 and V3 is weight. V3 is 5 grams lighter.
I guess what’s your definition of player ? I’m a 4.5 and would have no problem using it.
Better? Do you mean plush? I understand pro v2 is a bit less plush but more of a players stick with more power and feel?
Yes, the v3 felt better than the v2, but only slightly, in terms of plush, comfortable flex. V2 is a firmer feel with more plow, and maybe has more power than the v3 but, if so, not by much. The difference between the v2 and v3 is fairly slight in my opinion. Better feeling, to be sure, but it really highlights how the v1 tour is really a unicorn of racquet.
V3 pro is not a bad or uncomfortable racquet by any means, but it just doesn’t match the magic of the v1 tour for me. Almost feels like the 16x20 pattern doesn’t quite let the hoop flex enough to do its thing like the v1 did. I likely will get a standard v3 100, add a leather grip or some tail weight, and a touch of weight at 12 o’clock. Spec will land near the v3 pro, but the frame will have more flex, more comfort, be even more headlight and whippy, and get back to a 16x19 pattern which I prefer.
The problem for me at least is that the standard still has a tendency to launch on you and has errratic tendencies. I’ve found that since the v1. Thats why I gravitate towards the pro as I find it more versatile and consistent with the 16x20.Yes, the v3 felt better than the v2, but only slightly, in terms of plush, comfortable flex. I do agree I think v2 pro is slightly more powerful, but v3 pro is more comfortable and more
Totally agree. Tradeoffs for sure. 100 is a bit more comfortable than the pro, but for me I find the pro to be more consistent and versatile. Can flatten it out put spin when needed etc.Definitely agree the standard 100 can launch. However, given the sensitivity of my arm/elbow, I'm willing to live with it (for now) to play what is -- for my arm -- the more comfortable frame and string bed.
I would agree with this. The v3 is more plush and flexes more like the v1, which to make can make it unpredictable. The v2 is a little firmer but doesn’t flex as much and is more predictable IMOBetter? Do you mean plush? I understand pro v2 is a bit less plush but more of a players stick with more power and feel?
