Clay court shoes

Hi!

I'm looking for a pair of tennis shoes to use on clay. My current pair of shoes, ASICS Gel-Rocket Men's Indoor Court Shoes, doesn't provide enough grip when playing outdoors on clay courts.

I've been looking at Diadora Speed Tach Clay Sr, which seems to be more appropriate.

Any recommendations on good and not to expensive clay court shoes?

Cheers!

Nike 2k11s and 2k12s are great shoes for clay (the so-called hardcourt sole is basically a clay sole) and can be had on sale for $79.

^Clay outsole is more than just a different pattern. It grips on the court much better. Playing on clay, I recommend he goes for shoes with clay outsole.

Comparing my 2k11 hc sole to my friend's 2k12 ID clay sole, the HC sole feels like exactly the same rubber compound and pattern as the clay versions, it just has the midfoot shank.

Thanks for your replies everyone!

Anyone ith experience from Diadora shoes? Also I found a pair of cheap Wilson Stance Clay Court shoes (66 euro), the outsole on both these shoes seems to be all herringbone.
