Clay Court vs. Hard court shoes

I am looking at a pair of shoes, specifically the Yonex 306 clay court shoes. I like the look of those better than the other colors of the 306 shoes. Problem is, I play on hard courts most of the time. Will I still get good traction on hardcourts with the clay court shoes? Any idea as to what the biggest difference will be or what problems I may have with these shoes?

The traction would still be good with clay court shoe on hard courts. The problem most face with wearing clay court shoe on hard courts is durability. You may find that the durability of the clay court shoe isn't as good compared to the hard court shoe. This is the major reason you don't see a warranty on most clay court shoes.

you can go with a hard court shoe on a clay court without problems (that what i use here in Argentina), but a clay court shoe will wear too quick on hard courts...traction and stability will be similar probably.

Ever since I saw the Ballistec 2.3 clay version I have been wondering about this also. I hate to see that the durability will be decreased, but those things look good enough to where I might just have to go ahead and get them anyway.

your traction will still be good.. herringbone is usually a clay tread, it's perfect for hardcourts too.
