I found clay courts after more digging. Was really hoping to find some closer to Portland, but the only ones I found were either in Seattle or Spokane. I haven't found grass courts anywhere in the PNW region of the U.S. Vancouver Island is a bit too far for me and I don't plan on doing any tournaments anytime soon. Appreciate the response. Thanks!
There used to be artificial grass courts with sand on top at a club in centralia. Played a league match on it. Could still be there.
Copy that. Looking for clay or grass specifically, but that would probably be loads of fun to play on. Will have to look it up.

Totally get it. Just not what I am looking for. Sounds like the clay up in Spokane is where I will be making a trip this summer. Gives me an excuse to go to Lake Coeur d'Alene as well.

the staff at Spokane racquet clubs are awesome. I would call ahead to make sure the clay courts are open. When I was a member a few years back, they didn’t open until June or later. Also I’m sure they would be happy to find you a hitting partner too.
Good to hear. I called them already and they told me they could work out a deal for the day to play on the clay courts. My hitting partner is also my life partner and will be going with me on the trip, so I guess I am lucky in that regard. Looking forward to it!
