Bionic Poster
The Challenge - You will coach a player picked for you by another TTW member, and you will coach this player on how to defeat your favorite player by explaining key tactics, strategies, and exploiting weakness and specific patterns of play that your favorite player is vulnerable to. You need to take into consideration that your favorite could be in form, so what would you do to combat that if your primary game plan doesn't work....
You've studied your favorite player, so you've done your homework, now is the time to let your professional side take over and put it all into practice.
The key things you will need to address in your coaching statement.
- If you win the toss, should your player choose to serve or return? Take into account the time of day, the conditions.
- What primary key tactics should your player do when serving? Take into account serving BP down, or after a long rally for example, or SP or MP
- How should your player return serve? Court positioning, on BP, SP etc
- How to approach the tie-break
- Primary tactics and patterns of play to use during a rally
- What things must your player not do during a rally
- What key strengths of your favorite must they be wary of and how to combat it
- What happens if your primary tactics fail, what is plan B or C
Remember you need to take all the above things into account in accordance to the capabilities of your player. You can decide what court it gets played on. Can you ensure a solid coaching plan that can lead a player to victory over your fav?
To participate - post a reply stating who is your fav tennis player and that you are ready to help coach a tennis player to victory over him or her. Any poster can then nominate a player for you to coach. If you accept this player, you will provide your coaching tactics here for us all to see. Readers and other participants will then give opinion how informative your coaching skills are, and we will see who comes out as the winner. Remember you must cover all those key things mentioned above, and of course the more you add on how you see the match going and it's possible scenarios the better and more enjoyable of a read it will be for the rest of us.
OK TTW coaches, lets go for it.
I'll start my throwing my own name into the hat
- My favorite player is Novak Djokovic and I am ready to take on a nominated player by a TTW poster to victory should I accept that challenger.
