I went to my first college tennis match of the year yesterday and I saw a lot of flex point prestige racquets all seamed to be the mid plus. Has anyone seen the same? What racquets is everyone seeing around the college circuit?

I generally see two to three players on the teams that visit uga playing some variant of a flexpoint radical, either midplus, tour, or os. None of the folks on UGA's team use head racquets, but alot of visiting teams do. I see alot of technifibres and Pure drives too.

Not a lot of Head racquets among the top 16 teams, from what I saw recently. Many many ncodes and some k-factors. A number of Pure Drives and many technifibres. Some Prince O3 Tours and Whites as well. Technifibre is sponsoring a lot of teams on the string side, as red code strings can be seen on many sticks.

These guys are so good that I think they could play with anything within reason.

I think you see many many more head racquets at the challengers level. The Instinct and Prestige come to mind.

The top player at UGA from what I understand is a serve-and-volleyer who uses the Prince O3 White? Could it be so?

What kind of frames do you see the guys at Georgia using?

Yeah John isner uses an o3 white, but i am friends with a former athletic trainer that worked with the tennis team who said Isner has some deal with Prince, i think he gets racquets but not money. I'm sure they are customized a bit, otherwise i dont know how he would keep the ball in play (he's 6'9 and very powerful). I wouldnt really call him a serve/volleyer though, maybe he volleys more than the other players on the team but not enough to define his game, its more powerful serve and big forehand to put it away.
The usual number two player, Travis Helgeson, uses a K6.1 95, not sure of string pattern. Luis Flores, the #3 (which is really unfair to say, because Isner, Flores, and Helgeson really could rotate at #1), uses an 03 tour ( i think the 100 sq in. size). Matic Omerzel and Ricardo Gonzales both use technifibre (not sure of models), Jamie Hunt and Nate Schnugg (the guys who won junior US Open doubles last year, lucky r-e-cruits [dont know why that word is not allowed]) are using Wilson Ntour 2's and either Nblade/Npro open(couldnt get a good look), respectively. Josh Varela, the sometimes #6 with really cool double backhands, rather than a backhand and a forehand, uses what seems to be a stock pure drive. I'm not sure about the others on the team, haven't seen the rest play.

Oh btw anyone who is a fan of quality tennis should really come see the UGA team play if you are within driving distance or happen to be in town. check out www.georgiadogs.com , uga's athletic site. They are a true powerhouse team, in all of their regular season dual? (one on one, non tournament matches) they have swept the opposing teams 7-0. Its really ridiculous how good they are.
OH btw on equipment they are all (as of last sunday) using technifibre pro red code or the other red technifibre string (the team is sponsored by technifibre)

very imperssive. Our team, though not sponsored by technifibre, has 3-4 players on both Mens and Womens teams using the Tech racquets, as well as Pro Red Code string.

The FXP Prestige is really popular around here. At my advanced clinic today, we were playing doubles on two courts. 7 out of us 8 players were playing with the FXP Prestige. The other guy was playing with a FXP Radical.

UGA is a quality program.

I'm over in Clemson and when I talk to the CU players and coaches they all admire the way UGA runs their tennis programs-1st class all the way.

I also like the fact they do it with mostly US players.
