Columbus OH (4.0-4.5)

My wife recently took a job in Columbus so I am up there on the w/e's at our place up there. Needless to say that is when I play tennis usually. If there are any stronger 4.0's or lower 4.5's I'm looking to start playing again. We are in the Westerville/Worthington area.

network

I have a tennis network comprised of about 50 players in the Northern Columbus to Delaware, Ohio area. We don't have many players at your level, but we have a few. Our highest is probably about a 5.0, a former college player and occasional coach. We have a couple high school kids that probably hover around 4.0. And a few others. You might want to check us out.

Our official site is at www.Global*********work.com and then search for, and request to join the 'Delaware Ohio Tennis Network.' Or we have a facebook page by the same name. Unfortunately, I have our network page set as private, so you won't be able to "see" our members without joining.

Good luck

JohnKidd,

I tried to send you an email. I have a network of many tennis players and there are a large number that would fit you level of play including myself. Just send me an email through my profile.

Most of us play on the north side in Worthington/Westerville areas of town.

Hey guys, I'm in Huntington WV and come up to Columbus occasionally. Where are the places up there to demo racquets, drills and doubles clinics, drop in round robins, etc? I used to be a 4.0, pushing 4.5, but that was MANY years ago (had about a 15 year layoff) I'd say I'm a 3.5 right now....

Send me an email as far as a hit when you come into town. I have a decent sized network of players who are willing to hit or I could just add you to the network of emails.

After you start receiving the emails (sometimes weekly, sometimes monthly), you can give your name, preferred place to play, phone number, etc. and an invite to thers to play. It works. I know most of the people through playing.

Right now, we don't have a regular game. Most places around here only allow demos racquets if you put down some sort of deposit which will then be subtracted from the price of the racquet should you decide to buy. I can't advertise them on here per TW/TT rules.

My email is dak95_00 at yahoo . com

After I receive your email, I'll add you to the list. When I get around to it, I then send out an email saying I updated the list. From there, it takes on a life of its own. We have players of all levels. I don't belong to an indoor club. If you do, I'd bet that the pro in Huntington knows the pros here in Columbus as I know many of them from my junior days in southern Ohio. For example, I know Brian Nibert worked in Portsmouth, Chillicothe, Huntington (I think), and is now in Columbus. Talk to your pro. He/she could point you toward a club in Columbus that would be helpful or might reciprocate membership time for clinics. I know Olympic has the reputation of being the nicest in town. Nibert works at the Racquet Club which has the reputation of having many good players. Wickertree is expensive as is Elysium and Players Club. That's what I know of their reputations.
