combining gym workouts with tennis practices

Hello, guys, I need some advice. I play club tennis at my college, I'm an advanced player, want to combine 3-4 days of gym workouts with daily practice sessions of 2 hours but I'm new to the gym so can't decide what schedule would work best in terms of efficiency. Here some few options to choose from:
1. some early mornings before classes and other days between classes in the morning (1.5-2 hour gap)
2. one hour before practice (3-4 times a week)
3. daily 30-40 minute workout before practice
4. one hour after practice (3-4 times a week)
5. daily 30-40 minute workout after practice

So, what do you guys think? Thanks!

I play tennis around 4 days per week and I usually just go the the gym immediately after for about 30 mins to an hour.

During my time at college (granted, this was a long time ago), the strength coach had my team do our lifts in the morning so we had time to recover before our afternoon practices.

Pick whatever time you think will be better for you. The poster above me lifted in the morning before practice. I lifted between 8-11pm practiced 2-4pm. I like lifting at night so I was always motivated to go. That's the time that's gonna work best for you

Just curious, what time do you end up going to bed if lifting until 11 at night? If able to fall asleep relatively quickly afterwards, what are you doing to "cool down" to fall asleep that fast. I have played night matches until 10ish and can't get myself to fall asleep before midnight at the earliest, which makes getting up at 5AM a bear.

Agree with @T1000. Whatever time you are motivated to lift, do it. I lose motivation to lift at night time so it never happens for me if I don’t take care of it in the morning.

Well now I'm 25 and lift between 6-9 depending on how late I work and which gym I go to. I usually have no problem falling asleep between 11-12, get up at 7.

In college my junior and senior years my first class was at 10 and one semester senior year all my classes were tues thurs so I had plently of time to sleep. I'd usually go to bed between 1-2 in college.

My lifting revolves around powerlifting so I'm usually exhausted at the end of a workout not amped up. I also take a preworkout which has caffeine and sometimes other stimulants depending on which one i take. I usually crash from those an hour to 90 minutes after i finish lifting.

try experimenting and see what works for your college schedule. I vote for the lat two. Never lift immediately before practice.

If you have morning practices you can practice first, do some light stretching and then hit a quick 45 minute strength workout if you've got enough time before class to shower.

Otherwise try morning practice and then lifting between classes or later in the afternoon so you cans till give yourself sometime to rest up before the next morning practice.

also try throwing some BCAA(branched chain amino acids) into your routine to help speed up muscle recovery in between

Thank you guys for all of your responses. I think between classes works best. My earliest class starts at 8:30 most days, if I go to the gym at 7 am I'd give up quickly... I'll definitely need time to recover before practice so, gym right before practice falls off too. I think lifting weights after 2-hour practice which ends at 6-7 pm would be too brutal for my body, but I'm going to experiment

I'll definitely look for some BCAA's, thanks for the idea. Is there any specific brand or type you can recommend?

Look for something without caffeine. Also look at the ingredients list and look for the 3 most important amino acids to have the highest amount of ingredients; leucine, isoleucine, and valine

some to consider may be Xtend which you can get through GNC, vitamin shoppe or amazon
