COMCAST Changing Tennis Channel Access

#1
My latest Comcast bill said that Tennis Channel would only be available on its Digital Preferred package from its Sports Entertainment channel. The cost will go from $10 to $55 per month. I'm not willing to pay this increase. Anyone know about this?

Get it from a streaming service
If you knew anything about it you would know that you cannot get Tennis Channel streaming unless you have a preexisting television provider. You can get Tennis Channel Plus streaming but that is not Tennis Channel. Apparently, Tennis Channel signed away its rights to stream directly to its viewers when it signed contracts with the cable companies. Comcast is now requiring that you subscribe to a premium service in order to get Tennis Channel on your television -- and without getting Tennis Channel on your television you cannot get Tennis Channel streaming. This is a big deal to some of us because we will not be able to get Tennis Channel at all unless we pay a premium for a lot of crap we don't want.

Untrue.

I don't have a TV subscription and others I know do the same thing.

This has been discussed in the Pro Matches forum.
All I can say is that when I would go to ESPN 3 it would always ask for my cable provider and when I put in xfinity it would tell me it wasn't included in my plan. However, I just tried it and this didn't come up and there were some older matches that were available. I am not just making this up.

I can get the slams this way except for the French and there are other tournaments too but they don't keep them up for too long.

We've been watching tennis without a Cable TV subscription for about five years.

TTC claims COMCAST is purposefully pricing them out of customers so the golf channel (COMCAST owned) looks for more lucrative to sponsors. They claim they compete for the same type of high end sponsors and COMCAST throws Golf in for free and makes customers pay for TTC.

I know tennis channel was suing COMCAST over this issue a few years back. The fact that is increasing that much must mean that the suit did not go in TTC favor.
