I had 2 matches this week.

first match I won 6-0 6-3. (and I really started going for out of the comfort zone shots in the 2nd set because I felt I had it in the bag)

2nd match I won 6-4 6-3 (thing was I was down 0-4 in the first set and then went on to win 6 games in a row to take the set...and then won the first 2 games of the 2nd set so really 8 games in a row)

on paper my first match looks better.

but in both cases I won 8 games in a Row..for me the come back was the more thrilling win.

and got me thinking...do people prefer to go hand out a beating? or do you like the fight back to the top?

Handing out the smackdown shows that I played well for the entire length of the match, preventing any troughs and reacting to any peaks from my opponent.

Either that, or my opponent was just really bad.

I'll hand out a bagel whenever I have the chance. But, coming back from a 2 break deficit proves mental toughness in the face of adversity. Both are challenging in their unique ways, but its tough to say one is preferable over the other.

Yeah I guess that's why i enjoyed the come back more the few 6-0 matches I have I was easily the favorite. But with my comeback match I had a 3-3 head to head with the other guy..we know each other weakness etc...we are about the same fitness level/age.

So stringing 8 games in a row against him was a good feeling.

I've won a couple/few smack downs, but they are usually because I was facing a weaker opponent.

My most memorable win was coming from behind in a local club tournament in the finals to win it. It was a doubles tourney and we had won the first set pretty easily and then just as easily lost the second and were on our way to losing the third.

We were down 0-5 and actually defended against multiple match points (our opponents were serving for it) and was able to get the break. Then we held. Then we broke again. Then we held again. By now it was 4-5 and the momentum was clearly on our side of the court. We ended up wining 7-5 in the third.

Being able to hang tough mentally when every game could be the loss of the match and still being able to play improved tennis from earlier was by far more fun than winning a match 2 & 1.

Definitely a come from behind win.
I never hand out proper beat downs because I have mental lapses when I'm better than my opponent, but a come from behind win means I was in it for the whole match.
