I Cant wait to see this incredible beautiful killer beast on a tennis court once again. This Australian Open championship can't come quickly enough. It's been far to long since we've seen the king grace us with his aura and intimidating presence :):):):)

He needs to win some matches first to have an intimidating presence. 2R vs Istomin is still too fresh in everyone's minds.

If he gets to the quarters or semis, then the "AO GOAT" championship presence might start looming large again for opponents.

I'll be watching him, looked quite decent against Thiem. Thiem sucked, though.

LOL, Thiem in an exho? Please. That doesn' t tell us squat about Djokovic's true form or how he will get through seven best of five matches.

I absolutely love this clip. Not because of what it says about Nadal or Djokovic, or their rivalry. It just all seems so well choreographed and the expressions are amazing.

If you look closely there is a slight smirk on Nadals face as Djokovic turns away. This was when it confirmed to me Nadals humility is perhaps an act and that he knew what he was doing. There have long been rumblings from players that Nadal isn’t the nicest of guys, neither are his team, and it is noticeable after match handshakes with him from opponents are never as warm as with Federer and Djokovic.

Watch very closely, there is a definite smirk just before he shrugs the shoulders.

;) Don't speak so harshly of your King. Nishikori wouldn't do that. Nishikori wouldn't do that unless he hated Federer & Novak. Nishikori fears no one except Rafa. ;) Rafa is the only on that can beat Nishikori in 5 sets :confused:

Yep I think there is a slight smirk. You really have something here. Nadal's humbleness is fake after all, this confirms it. Thank you for opening my eyes

Just having a little fun. But in truth, I'm not his fan, as you know. I'd like to see him healthy enough to play Federer and for Federer to trash his arse. ;) But if somebody like Zverev or Wawrinka can somehow do the job first, that would be ok too. :) Sorry, I'm being honest.

You're slightly off, that fall occurred in 2017, 2018 is the year Djokovic returns to his pet slam on Pride Rock and defeats Scar and all the Hyenas and wins the Australian Open (and hopefully more) ;)

    Forget about the smirk.

The gesture after Djokovic has turned his back is purely for the world watching.

That is the level of awareness that only a completely staged personality has.

He knows that in that moment he can hurt Djokovic's image, if he acts as though he is saying " See, I offered my apology, and he is not a sportsman enough to accept it."

Note: "he", since Nadal's reaction is not aimed towards Nole, who has already turned his back on Nadal.

Nadal is the ultimate gamesmanship act.

I seriously can't wait to watch Novak again, I was a tennis fan long before Novak and will always be one after he retires, but I'm always excited for his matches and it's been far too long!

After seeing how you interpret Nadal's reaction, there is nothing to be worried about, when it comes to your take on other people.

    Truly.

I guess you enjoy embarrassing yourself, considering how often that happens. Maybe you fcuking off to the former pros section and preaching there about the almighty specialists of the 80s and 90s would make the TTW Tour better.

No matter how many times u repeat it, you won’t make it true. If you can’t appreciate Djoker’s skill set you aren’t a tennis fan. You’re just down the rabbit hole of someone else’s cult

I can separate Djokovic's level from his opponent so don't really care who he faced. Served well, moved well so if his elbow holds up he's gonna be a factor at the AO.

Serve was a pleasant surprise. Groundies - form looked ok but he was very rusty. Movement was good enough. He'll struggle against Fed and Rafa if he faces them in this state - UNLESS he shakes the rust off real quick. Hopefully we can get some good matches either way.

But that's silly IMO. First of all, he was playing in a meaningless exhibition and secondly, Thiem sucked apparently (I didn't watch it.)

I agree that if Djokovic is at a decent level, he could be a factor at the AO but he's got a pretty brutal draw for his first slam back from injury/personal demons/whatever. Personally, I doubt he'll win this slam.

Certainly not denying that, his aura of invincibility in Melbourne has taken a hit, but if he is there in the 2nd week, then look out.

It's best not to waste too much time on some people, especially when there is some pathology involved. Some people are so intent on making Nadal look bad that they pretend to have a depth of perception and appreciation of his personality and motives superior to people (other players) that have had a much more intimate and frequent knowledge of Nadal than this fool could ever dream of. Also, it's the tone and the self-importance this person uses. Such a joke (albeit not too funny, unfortunately.)
