I'm a longtime user of some version of a Pro Staff / Six-One, going all the way back to the 6.0/6.1, the K-Factor, and most recently, the RF97. But after a long layoff from the game and some newfound shoulder issues, I'm considering going to something a bit lighter and a touch flexier. I tried out some Youtek IG Prestige MPs I had lying around from years ago but they just don't offer as much pop as I'd like.
Back when I was playing regularly, I was around a 4.0, with a semi-western forehand and a one-handed backhand.
I'm considering something from the Yonex line (Ezone 98 and/or VCore Pro 97 310), and also a Blade 98. Any thoughts on how these might fit for someone with my racquet preferences? Is there anything else I should keep in mind?
Also, would a gut main / poly cross hybrid in something like an Ezone just be too powerful? I don't play often enough to warrant full poly in my setup, and sometimes it seems like modern frames are designed to be played with poly only.
