Between Babolat Xcel, Head Reflex MLT, Technifibre X-1 Biphase, NRG2, and Wilson NXT, it would be pretty expensive to try even a few sets of each. Was hoping if you could share your experiences and comparisons if you have tried a few of these strings.
Of these, I've only tried the technifibre multis which seem to be the most well characterized already, but I'll add my two cents anyways.
X-1 Biphase
Power: Super high. Balls rocket off the racquet faster than with any other multi of the 15 or so I've tried
Feel: Feels very elastic but only slightly rubbery. Still crisp at ball contact but soft at the same time.
Control: Below average. Controllable at higher tensions or with more spin. If you hit flat you may not like it.
Spin: Pretty low. Has a pretty rough coating
Tension Maint: Good. Dropped initially after 30 mins but maintained a relatively steady tension for the duration of its life.
Durability: Average. Notches easily but remains playable for quite a while.
NRG2
Power: High. Almost as high as biphase but more controllable.
Feel: Overall feels like a less "extreme" version of biphase. All characteristics move towards those of a more generic multi. A little stiffer, a little crisper, a tiny bit less elastic. Still a very unique multi
Control: Average.
Spin: A bit better than biphase. Coating is smoother though.
Tension Maint: Good. Have not played it long enough to compare very precisely with biphase
Durability: Average. Still notches easily but not as quickly as biphase.
