Comparing AeroPro Drive GT's vs Pure Drive?

I've been looking at the 3 racquets and wanted to see others opinions in comparison.

I'm probably around 4.0 right now, used to play competitively in HS('02 hs grad) and recently began to pick up the sport again. I tend to hit flat, but I like to play aggressive on the baseline.

My current racquets are the ones I had in HS, Prince Thunderbolts MP. I've hit bot with the AeroPro GT and Pure Drive GT against a ball machine. Based on my understanding, the Pure Drive should've had more power, but I actually felt the AeroPro had too much power oddly. I'm not able to demo the AeroPro GT Plus, but I'm curious how that compares to the Pure Drive GT and AeroPro?

I'm trying to narrow it down to 1 racquet to demo in a match type situation.

I don't know if Babolat is good for flat hitters. I would go with Head or Wilson. Can't help you with your choice though sorry.

im not tied down to babolats, but just happened to go in their direction initially because a) they offer a +length racquet for intermediate and up players, and b) the pro at the local shop is sponsored by them so he can give me a discount.

any suggestions on the head/wilson variety?

Based on my understanding, the Pure Drive should've had more power, but I actually felt the AeroPro had too much power oddly.

Were the strings and tension matched? I own both the PDGT+ and the APDGT+. Generally speaking, the PD has a little more pop and the APD produces a little more spin.

Also check out the HEAD Radical and Extreme lines for sticks that play a little like Babs.

If you are with Babolat, why dont you try Pure Storm series?

i was under the impression the pure storm would be even more control oriented than the aeropro? when i initially tried the pure drive, it felt very good. so when i tried the aeropro i was surprised that i felt like i had a harder time controlling my shots. since they were both demo racquets and i tried them at seperate times, its hard for me to remember the differences. i do know they were both strung with the same hybrid string pattern.

If you like the Pure Drive...try the Roddick+. IMO it is a much better hit and an all around more solid frame.

Forget about Pure Drive and Aero Pro in my view......

i ordered both the pure storm and aeropro gt+ to demo, and since it was already $20 i just threw in the prince exo black and the head youtek radical for kicks. should be fun trying them all out.

i agree. im demoing the pure drive roddick plus and i do like it alot.i hit flat and i really liked it. The one racquet that i have yet to try is the aeropro drive gt and the aerostorm tour.

I tried the aeropro drive and I really wanted to like it...however I felt that it add way too much spin to all of my shots and it was hard for me to hit a flat ball.

i really wanted to like the apd gt+, but i had a hard time controlling my shots with it. ironically i felt like the apd gt + and non + both had more power than the pure drive gt. i tried the pure storm + and liked the control/power, but didnt like the stiff feel. right now i'm actually leaning towards the exo3 black.
