Comparing Sampras' and Federer's head to heads against top rivals

Biased Comparison That Does Not Account For Surface Homogenization Or Caliber Of Competition.

Point Is, Federer Did Not Overcome His Greatest Rival, While Sampras Did; Although Federer Was Much More Of An All Court Player Than Sampras, Even Though Those Courts Were Much More Similar To One Another Than In Sampras' Day...

Those numbers are fact so it can't be biased. Why don't post some facts(numbers) instead of biased opinions.

If 3 of the 4 Majors were on real grass, Sampras would have 21 slams? Perhaps but then again the other grassier players like Krajicek, Rafter, Ivanisevic would rise up and meet him more consistently and competitively.

Thank you. So even when Fed was past his prime, his head to head was better than Sampras' head to head against his rivals...Interesting.

well the list is from 09, so it was certainly not past his prime (maybe he had slowed down like 2% then but from 08-09 he made 7 out of 8 finals and won 3 GS, certainly more prime than nadal is now).

still he dominated most of his rivals, even novak.

the only thing that surprises me is that prime fed had problems with pre prime murray although he mostly lost at masters tournaments and not at slams.
