Federer - 64th Title
included 16 Grand Slams, 4 ATP Tour Finals, 17 ATP Masters 1000s.
58% of titles at Masters 1000 Level or Above
Lost 28 finals

Nadal - 64th Title
included 14 Grand Slams and 27 ATP Masters 1000s
64% of titles at Masters 1000 Level or Above
lost 28 finals

Djokovic - 64th Title
included 11 Grand Slams, 5 ATP Tour Finals, 29 ATP Masters 1000s
70% of titles at Masters 1000 Level or Above
lost 26 finals

Obviously, crazy percentage of "big tournament" wins for Djokovic.

Interesting that after Federer's 64th Title, 10 of his next 24 tournament wins came at Masters 1000 or above. Compare that to Nadal, 1 of 5.

Masters Finals used to be mostly best of 5; I forget when that changed, but it certainly adds an element of prestige to the masters finals won when they were Bo5, vs those that were Bo3.

This isn't knocking anyone, but just noting that Masters Finals were more epic and prestigious at the height of the Fedal rivalry than they are now. Now, they have been devalued relative to GS finals.

For an analogy, what if Majors were changed to best of 3 throughout the tournament and Djokovic went on to win another 15 of them? Would anyone compare his 26 Majors to Federer's 17 as if they were entirely the same thing?

- 8 of Federer's 24 Masters wins were in Best of 5 finals. 16 in Best of 3.
- 2 5 of Nadal's 28 Masters wins were in the Best of 5 finals.
- 1 of Djokovic's Masters wins were in Best of 5.

Also, a better analogy would be what if Majors were changed to best of 3 throughout the tournament only for the finals and Djokovic went on to win another 15 of them? Would anyone compare his 26 Majors to Federer's 17 as if they were entirely the same thing?

I won't be too miffed. Though there would be a greater chance of upset in a BO3 than in a BO5 so he probably won't win as many.

Fascinating comparison to see the numbers presented that way. Thanks for taking the effort to type it up.

I still can't get over the 5 WTF's for Djokovic. That has crept up on me over the years.
